These resonators are OUTSTANDING. The construction quality is superlative. I am using them as mufflers on my Corvette, and they work great. Not too loud, not too quiet, and no drone. The inner perforated pipe is the full 2.5" (same size as inlet). Some resonators or mufflers similar to these choke the inner perforated tube down a bit to make the unit easier to build. Not these. Full bore. Perforation holes are about 3 mm. I counted the number of perforation holes, but I've forgotten how many there are exactly. My memory is telling me there is somewhere around 2200 holes per resonator, which is a decent number for a unit like this. And I haven't even mentioned the price. I got them on sale and they were crazy inexpensive. Given the high quality of the unit, buying them is a total no-brainer for anybody. You don't even have to have a purpose or need for them. They're so inexpensive, and yet so good, you should just buy them. Buy them to have them. Some application will surely come up. If not, they're beautiful to look at. Highly polished, mirror-like stainless steel. They look good, they work well, they're made well. I am VERY impressed.

I used this as the tip on my 7.3 powerstroke just to change the tone a little bit. It cut down the high pitch hiss. It works surprisingly good.

This resonator is well built and looks great. Solid, clean looking welds. I listened to the message board and YouTube "pros" and did a muffler delete. Apparently none of them know what good sounding exhaust sounds like. They said the cats would be just enough to muffle it and make it sound good. They were all wrong. It was raspy and sounded like total crap under any load, the stock exhaust sounded better. I wish I had ordered a shorter one, because the 16" is a little quiet, but it brought back the deep V8 rumble, just slightly louder than the stock exhaust. It's fiberglass, not stainless mesh packed, so we'll see how long that lasts. It fit just slightly loose on 2.5 od pipe. The polished finish is flawless. For the price, it's amazing.

Probably my favorite muffler I have ever purchased. Gives a great deep sound. Better sound than borla or flow masters in my opinion.

I'm in the process of gathering all the right pieces for a custom exhaust system, and this resonator was exactly what I was looking for in terms of size and design. While it's not welded onto the truck yet, I've given it a thorough inspection, and I'm very pleased with what I see. Pulling it out of the box, I was immediately impressed with the quality. The stainless steel is nicely polished, which is a great touch, but more importantly, the welds look clean and consistent all the way around. It has a good, solid weight to it, and looking down the straight-through core, everything seems to be well-constructed and packed properly. So, why the four-star rating for now? The true test of any exhaust component is in the sound and durability. How effective will it be at killing drone on the highway? How will the polished finish hold up after a few thousand miles and some heat cycles? Those are the questions that can only be answered once it's welded in and rumbling. Based on the build quality alone, I'm very optimistic. It looks like a high-quality component that's ready to be part of a great-sounding system.

Purchased it because it was supposed to be 4” ID on one side and 4” OD on other side. Well, it’s not. It looks good. Welds look good. Didn’t quiet my truck down at all. Almost sounds louder, to be honest.
