  • Nice little tank for a small setup
Size: 2.58 GAL
This is a cute little tank and it works really well for a small aquarium setup. The glass looks clear and it feels nicer than the little plastic tanks you usually see in this size. I like it for shrimp, snails, or a planted setup since it doesn’t take up much room and is easy to place on a desk or shelf. It’s also easy to clean and doesn’t feel cheap. Just keep in mind that 2.58 gallons is pretty small, so I personally see it more as a shrimp/snail or plant tank than something I’d use long term for most fish. Overall, it’s a nice looking little aquarium and a good option if you want something compact. ... show more

  • As another reviewer said, the 3 gallon holds 2 gallons. Not suitable for a Betta or turtle.
Size: 2.58 GAL
Other than that, the measurements were correct. It looked very small when I took it out of the excellent, thick foam packaging. Sure enough, I filled it twice with a gallon jug of filtered water, as you see in the photo next to my large tank. The glass itself is crystal clear, and has no bubbles or distortions. The joints aren't mitered, a more expensive touch, but I think $40 is okay for a rimless tank of this quality and size. The black foam mat included isn't so much to prevent slipping or scratching your surface - it's actually called a self-leveling mat. It's intended to even out and absorb any minor imperfections or irregularities in the surface, so the very heavy tank full of water doesn't have uneven stress on any of its joints. If you're new to the hobby, I've been at it since I was a teenager in the 80's. I'm in my 60's now and pairing down, but I've had tanks of all sizes, rimmed and rimless. Rimless are gorgeous, but more expensive. After substrate, plants, heater, filter, air, etc., this won't hold enough water for a Betta. Yes, it's larger than a cup in a store. No, it's not the best life for your little friend. It's not thriving, it's just survival, if that. Turtles? Nope. Just no. The shape is all wrong, let alone the size. Shrimp are possible because they don't mind overcrowding, but do your research first. I know they're cool - I have a zillion of them in my 50 gallon tank, but they require specific water parameters that can be challenging even for seasoned hobbyists to maintain. Some folks may advocate for rice fish because they're small (absolutely not the fish shown in the product photo examples), but in a 2 gallon tank, fish food and waste can quickly degrade the water quality. This is also a tall tank, which means more swimming up and down, not side to side, which doesn't work for active, schooling fish. A lot to consider! Snails are great! Very hardy. They can be fascinating too. We have some red rams horns that are beautiful and very active. Highly recommend them. You can have lots of snails, different kinds too. Just don't fill the water too high, so they don't scoot over the edge. Best thing to do in a nano tank is grow some live plants - an aquascaping tank. So many ways to get creative even with a two gallon tank, which is also a good place to learn. As you can see from my set up with Mrs Aloha Friday, the tanks and creatures are only part of the fun. Plants and decor can create a whole peaceful oasis to escape to in this stressful, hectic life. Rimless tanks are an incredible visual experience. One way to afford them is by going nano. Just keep in mind that the small size limits what kind of living things you put in them. You wouldn't be happy with the bare minimum existence in life either. Reconciling what WE want versus what our creatures want and need can be a real ethical tug of war in our minds! I know, believe me, I've been there - rationalizing and justifying what works to fit my tank set ups. :o) ... show more

  • Really quality mini tank!
Size: 2.58 GAL
This is a great little aquarium! The glass is super clear, and the seams are well done with no visible silicone sealant. The tank does come with a foam mat to set it on, which is a must for rimless tanks. I was able to lift the tank by the sides with about 10lbs of substrate and hardscape inside, so it's definitely pretty strong. Please note that a 2.5 gallon tank is not big enough for any fish, including a betta, but it's wonderful for a shrimp or snail tank. Overall a quality product and a good value for the $40 price tag. ... show more

  • Mini Glass Fish Tank
Size: 2.58 GAL
I gave this fish tank a five star rating because it truest is a really good quality and durable little fish tank. The tank is 2.58 gallons which I feel is perfect for a little starter tank. The glass is nice thick, good quality, durable glass. The tank itself is nice and strong and sturdy. It’s nice heavyweights tank. There’s a mat that claimed with the tank for you to set your fish tank on top of to prevent scratches on your table. This tank is easy to set up and easy to clean. I feel that this fish tank is a great value for the price and I do recommend it. ... show more

  • Excellent especially if you don’t require more than the tank
Size: 2.16 GAL
The Cirrsondy 2.16 Gallon Glass Fish Tank is great. It’s crystal clear and easy to clean. It didn’t include any additional accessories or lighting but that’s fine because for a solid, quality built glass tank it’s a great value for the cost. The glass is thick and sturdy with a tight and clean looking seal. I’ve decided to use mine as a hydroponic style terrarium and it looks fantastic! ... show more

  • Attractive, clean nano set up
Size: 2.58 GAL
The Cirrsondy 2.58-gallon glass aquarium is a nice option for anyone looking for a compact tank for a desk, countertop, or other small space. Its simple glass design makes it look more like a piece of décor than a traditional aquarium, while still providing enough room for a small nano setup. Appearance: 5/5 The glass construction gives the aquarium a clean, modern appearance and provides excellent visibility of the contents. It looks especially good with a thoughtfully arranged substrate, plants, and hardscape. Durability: 4/5 The glass feels sturdy and appropriate for a small aquarium. As with any glass tank, though, it should be handled carefully during setup and relocation since impacts or uneven support can cause damage. Size: 4/5 At 2.58 gallons, it’s compact and easy to find a place for without requiring a dedicated aquarium stand. It’s noticeably more practical than extremely tiny novelty tanks, although the limited water volume still means water parameters can change relatively quickly. Ease of Setup: 5/5 The basic tank itself is extremely easy to set up. Add your substrate, decorations, plants, equipment, and water, and you’re ready to begin cycling. Its small footprint also makes aquascaping and positioning relatively straightforward. Noise Level: 5/5 The glass tank itself produces essentially no noise. Any sound will come from whatever equipment you add, such as a filter or air pump. With appropriately sized quiet equipment, this can make an excellent desktop or bedroom aquarium. Fit: 4/5 The compact dimensions make it easy to fit on a desk, countertop, shelf, or other suitable surface. The main consideration is making sure the surface is completely level, stable, and strong enough to support the tank’s full weight when filled. Livestock Considerations: 3/5 Although this tank is marketed for bettas as well as snails and shrimp, I would be cautious about using a 2.58-gallon aquarium as a permanent betta habitat. A larger aquarium provides considerably more swimming space and greater water-volume stability. For appropriate nano livestock such as shrimp and snails, however, the size can be much more practical. Overall: The Cirrsondy 2.58-gallon aquarium is a visually appealing and easy-to-set-up nano tank with excellent visibility and a very small footprint. It’s particularly well suited to a carefully planned shrimp, snail, or planted setup. The main limitation is simply the small water volume, so I’d treat the “low maintenance” claim cautiously—nano aquariums can actually require more attentive water-quality management because there is less water to buffer changes. ... show more

  • Perfect for Plant Quarantine
Size: 2.58 GAL
I mainly use this tank for quarantining aquatic plants before adding them to my main aquarium, especially to help prevent unwanted snails from being introduced. The compact size is perfect for this purpose, and the glass construction gives it a clean, simple look. It’s a great little setup for keeping new plants isolated and monitored before they go into the main tank. The glass is thick and durable. It's also assembled very well with zero leaking issues. ... show more
