This is my first helmet, so I don't have any real frame of reference for a comparison, but I love this thing! Not being a very expensive helmet, I wasn't expecting very much, but I have been pleasantly surprised so far. I have ridden in direct sunlight, rain, heavy winds, and perfect weather and I have been comfortable the whole time. I do get some fogging when I stop at the lights, but it immediately disappears as soon as I start moving. My eyes don't like bright light, so I wear sunglasses every chance I get, but the built-in sun visor works perfectly fine, even in morning sun; I just wish they were polarized, but I don't know of many (any) manufacturers that do that. The venting is very effective. I sweat a LOT, so keeping my melon sweat-free (or at least reduced) is a big job that this helmet is capable of. I would definitely buy this helmet again.

I considered the reviews and decided this helmet was a wise choice. Right out of the box it blew me away! I have a hat size of 6 7/8 but with all my hair it's gotta be close to a 7. I got glossy orange in medium. It fits perfectly and the orange is a very bright color I'll be visible for sure. All mechanisms are strong and work perfectly the design of this lid is so well thought out. Both visors are excellent and the front face piece is very stout. Some reviews complain about such trivial issues from "glass half empty" critics that it's laughable. Sure it had a chemical smell at first but 30 min outside and a shot of fabreeze later it's fine. The vents don't require any instructions as it's quite evident by sight when they are open. The chin strap is like the one on my builtwell and easy to use with gloves on. I don't have anything negative to say about this helmet. For $54 it's a steal.... I'd pay $200 for a helmet built this well! For the price you can not go wrong!

I have been riding since 1995, so I have had my fair share of helmet time. 1Storm helmets are, for all practical purposes, comparable to HJC helmets, which remain some of my favorites because they represent excellent bang for the buck. 1Storm prices are even more competitive than those of HJC, so their bang is louder. I have bought one for myself and another for my mom. She rides with me all the time, and we both love these helmets. I had apprehensions about buying a helmet without trying it on first, but the seller was excellent and took care of my mom's helmet size issue very gracefully. If you have the same concern as I did, no need to worry, just do your best to measure your head, and order your helmet. If you run into problems, this seller can be trusted to solve your issues. This is my wife's account, and I have bought two 1Storm helmets with my own hard earned money.

Bought a large, got a legitimate large. Sizing seems good. Everything functions properly, and I don’t notice much noise difference between my full face helmet and this modular. The internal shades are a plus. Only complaint is the orange color is a little lighter than I anticipated.

Fit was good a little loud going down the road. The reason I got this was for cold weather but the breath gaurd is too small so the facecsheld fogs up. Would crack it open one notch to prevent fogging. Other than these two seems like a good hood.

Incredible value for the money. True to size and perhaps just slightly big. Love the color and the chin strap quick release. Good quality. The internal sun visor could have better optics but you can’t beat it for the price.
