It is large enough to be read easily around yard but not obnoxious. I put batteries (4D alkaline for night light and 1 AA for clock). It auto set to 12 and then after a few hours set to daylight savings time east coast as set by switches. I really like it and hope it works for at leary a few years. While the clock is easy to see at night, the humidity and temperature are not really visible. For me, the time was the main concern and certainly can be made out. During the day, the time is easy to see, and the humidity and temperature are reasonably easy as well. I spent more hoping to get quality. 5 so far. ... show more

I am very happy with this clock. It hangs outside, underneath our covered lanai. It‘s an atomic clock, which I‘ve never even heard of, so don‘t be alarmed when it starts to quickly rotate through the hours when first starting. I then read the instructions and it all made sense. The clock is nice looking during the day, but when it lights up at night, it is beautiful! I gave it 4 stars because I really wish that there was a timer for the number of hours you want it to be lit. It‘s on all night, so I don’t know how long the batteries will last (it takes 4 D batteries). ... show more

I originally got this clock to hang outside. But when it came in, I liked it so much, a much lesser expensive clock I had inside is going to take the outside position. This clock looks really good, and sitting on the kitchen table it got the WWVB signal and set itself overnight. It’s now on the wall next to my hot tub in our Florida room and it will last MUCH longer being protected from the elements. It’s a bit pricey, but in my opinion it’s worth it. ... show more
