We tried to use this for a paint party and ended up going back to the tubes of paint we already had from another brand. The paint, even after shaking, was the wrong texture. It is very thick and clumpy and doesn't come out of the bottles well. Even though the were sealed it seems like it was old or had been mishandled. I bought this set specifically for a paint pour project, hoping that the acrylic paint in bottles would be more fluid and require less mixing than the tube kind—and for the most part, I was right! The colors are super bright and vibrant, and most of them mixed beautifully with my pouring medium. The exception was the white and light blue—they had a slightly chunky texture that didn’t blend as well. Not a dealbreaker, though. I think they’d be totally fine for regular brush painting, just not ideal for smooth pour work. Bonus: My partner loved how their paintings turned out, and the large bottles mean we have plenty of paint left for future projects. Great value for the price! ... show more

I also love that they’re non-toxic, which gives me peace of mind when my younger one joins in. It came with a palette knife and sponge, which was a fun surprise and helped us try out new painting techniques during art time.
