These slid right into place on my Charbroil Tru-Infrared grill like they were made for itābecause they basically were. Solid quality, no weird warping, and definitely hold up to the heat. Exactly what I neededā¦ Except now I realize Iām short one. Grill looks great. Works great. But now itās half-upgraded and Iām staring at it like itās wearing mismatched shoes. Thatās on me, not the product. āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø ā Just need one more and Iāll be cookinā in symmetry.

I've had my two burner Charbroil Tru Infrared for a few years now and the original emitter plates are beginning to rust out. The pictures in the ad look exactly like the originals but the plates I received are slightly different. The new plates are 1/4 inch smaller in both length and width. That in itself isn't a great issue, the bigger issue I have is the new plates have 12 raised ridges whereas my originals have only 11. The grill grates that go on top of these plates have 11 bars, which has them lining up right on top of the OE plate ridges. With the new plates installed, the grates line up on the first and last ridges but the ones toward the center do not. I think the infrared bit comes from the heat rising up through those ridges in order to heat the grates on top. The new ones will work but they're not ideal as the heat's going to rise up between the grate bars. Also, the scraper tool that came with the grill won't work with the new emitters since the ridges are spaced a bit closer together. The new emitters appear to be well constructed, made of heavy stainless steel. Installation was easy but the new plates have a bit of room to move fore/aft and side to side.

A few years ago, one of the burners on my 15-year-old TEC infrared grill burned out and since TEC is so proud of their stuff, I found that I could get a new Charbroil Commercial Tru-Infrared grill for less than it would have cost for the single replacement burner from TEC. I will admit that the TEC grill was the best cooking grill I have ever used and I certainly got my money's worth out of it, but it just did not make sense to spend that kind of money on such a well-used item. The new grill from Charbroil did a fairly decent job, but has not performed as well as my old favorite. One of the big differences is that the TEC used ceramic radiation plates, whereas the Charbroil uses stainless steel. The TEC unit also had all stainless grates, whereas the Charbroil has porcelain coated steel cook grates, but I don't think that would be a significant factor. When I got the opportunity to evaluate these WEBROIL all stainless-steel radiating plates for my Charbroil grill, I jumped at the chance to try something that might be an improvement over the OE and make the grill perform more like my beloved TEC grill. I can only comment on the apparent good quality of these WEBROIL radiating plates, that appear to be identical to the OE plates, at this time, but I will update this review after I have used them for a while and can comment on the improvement, if any, over the OE radiators and how easy they are to clean, etc. If you need to replace the radiation plates on your Charbroil infrared grill, these would be a good choice to refurbish your grill.

Grill emitter plates can only be cleaned so well over time before keeping the holes clear becomes nearly impossible. This set is the perfect replacement. They fit perfectly & I once again have even heat distribution from all four burners. It's easy to keep the top grill clean but eventually the emitters need attention as well & after a while, replacing them is the easiest way to go to keep my investment at peak performance.

Purpose: I have had a TRU-Infrared grill for a few years now and the emitter plates are starting to rust through in a few places. Good Qualities: ā¢ The emitter plates are made from sturdy material and look just like the ones that came with the grill originally. ā¢ The specialized scraper that came with the grill to clean the emitter plates works with these plates as well. Concerns / Complaints: ā¢ I donāt really have any complaints or concerns right now. Only time will tell whether there will be any issues with them, but right now, but so far, they are working great! Verdict: Two thumbs up! These are great as replacement parts for your grill. I havenāt had any issues with the parts so far.
