This seems like decent polyrope. It has the six metal filaments promised, and 3 nylon strands made with 10 filaments each. I have only used a short segment at this time and that segment works fine. I assume the full length promised is given. It seems just as strong as I would expect it to be. Six strands is less than is in the netting I have from Permier1, but to an extent you should expect to get what you pay for and this is perfect in its price range. This is a good, very long wire for installing an electric fence, and unlike some, has good conductivity, even across long distances. The most important problem with electric fences is that they use very little copper, so it doesn't work well and is also weak and can snap or stop working. I've had wires in the past where as soon as you get even a distance away from the charger, you don't feel anything at all. But this is made with stainless steel, making it cheap but still effective. The impedance is very low, so even after installing this across a long stretch, on testing it, I got high voltage on measuring, almost the full voltage from the fence charger. So this seems like a great, low cost option to install an electric fence, especially for bigger properties. The large spool makes this easy to install. ... show more
