I tried them with several types of paper and they all cut well. The embellishments are cut on a light weight card stock. The Happy Thanksgiving is cut on 140 lb. watercolor paper. The Merry Christmas is cut on colored typing paper and the Happy Birthday is cut on textured card stock. All of them were run through my Sizzix Big Shot two times with no shims. ... show more

The assortment is wonderful, something for each holiday. Note that these are a bit small. The Happy Valentine's Day, on 3 lines is 1 3/4 wide by 2 3/4 inches. If using larger cards the words look small.

I have not used this with heavy cardstock--must 65 lb stuff that I have in my stash. So far, the dies I have tried have cut nice and clean. No problem getting the cuts out of the dies. I use a pokey tool to nudge things out anyway, and they fall right out with no tearing. Good collection of sentiments all in one place. I intend to keep them stored together in one sleeve in my storage bin with other general sentiments. To adhere, an easy way to do it with these, since they are skinny die cuts--is to lightly spray the backs with a spray adhesive, pick up with tweezers and carefully put in place. I use Craft Bond. I spread a sheet of newspaper and spray several at once. I have not cut apart the sentiments, as I decided I would just send them all through my Big Shot together and mass produce a lot of sentiments in advance, which I keep organized in plastic bin for storing photographs. ... show more
