    • Cutter Ok - Software Cumbersome
I have used the original Silhouette Cameo for over ten years. The software is very powerful and fairly straight forward. I really wanted a new, larger cutter. I researched and read reviews. The Starcraft Solo sounded like what I needed and wanted. I watched every video and joined every users group on Facebook. I played with the software for days. Asked questions and re-watched videos. I just do not like the software Create. It is cumbersome in my opinion. i have returned the machine. I think the machine is probably awesome. I seems well built and what cuts I did achieve were very accurate, quick and quiet. I will continue to monitor the progress of this machine and see if the software catches up with the machine. ... show more

The machine seems sturdy and well built but the software is so hard to navigate. cricut and silhouette studio was built with friendly user in mind, this machine was built for computer engineers. machine does cut very good but it is still missing one big feature. Print bleed. If you are familiar with print bleed then you know how well this works to give you perfect cuts. You also have to navigate the software to much to do simple tasks. Im sure this machine will do great in the future but the software is just not there yet. The machine was built like an apple product but the software was built for like windows xp or something. just feels outdated. ... show more

    • Great cutter!
So far I really love it. I just received it two days ago, so I still have a little learning to do. The software is identical to SCAL. So if you are familiar with that software, you won't have to learn anything new. I am hoping to use this a lot for paper crafting and right now I am getting started with making stickers. I might edit my review at a later date, but if I am still very happy with it, I probably won't add anymore comments. ... show more
