This product has definitely proved itself for what it was advertised at. I’m in the Mojave dessert for clarification. Winters are bone chill cold and this hose has provided solid results with no issues the whole winter. Be aware that your RV won’t freeze at 32 degrees flat for over 12 hours but will shorten in time the lower the temp roles.

I’m using this in conjunction with a smart Insteon controlled valve to make up water loss in a hot tub. During the winter I leave plugged in the heat element and nothing froze. It continues to work in good weather without power to the heat element. So far after about 6 months it’s all good. There was enough excess heat tape and insulation to keep the sillcock unfrozen. And the price was lower than other brands I considered.

It's just hard to straighten out enough to use it like I wanted to . I am going to have to buy another length of heated hose. Other than that, it seems all right. The instructions don't say if you can leave it plugged in when not running water through it right then, so I guess I'll find out when I go to water the horses this evening!
