The box comes with a selection of sizes of smooth, shiny, stainless steel balls for replacing a few or the whole set from a damaged bearing. They're sorted into slots in the box, with corresponding labeling on the inside of the lid. Two things to beware: 1. Some of the sizes are very similar and you wanna make sure the ball you're picking out is the right size and not one up or down, especially in the middle-low ranges of sizes. 2. The balls can shift or jump between compartments in the box. Most of them will stay put, mostly, but be sure to double check for this reason also, that each ball is the right size as you select them You can get a pretty good idea by holding two adjacent sizes or placing them next to each other on a tray, to see which one is slightly larger or smaller than the other one. For cases where a bearing failed because one or two balls went out of round (maybe from an impact or rusting) or if, like me, you were repacking a bearing and dropped one of the balls, and it bounced or rolled away never to be seen again... this kit may have just what you need. (It doesn't have every possible size, but it has a lot of the medium to small ones that are common enough in small bearings.) Worth it if you have, or anticipate having, at least two bearings to fix.

This assortment of stainless steel precision balls is exactly what it claims to be: solid, well-machined, and consistent in size. I’ve used them for bicycle bearings, small mechanical projects, and a few “let’s see if this works” experiments, and they’ve held up beautifully. No rust, no weird pitting, and no surprise soft spots. But let’s talk about the packaging. The box is comically oversized for what’s inside. You open it expecting a treasure trove of shiny spheres, and instead you get a polite handful rattling around like they’re lost in a warehouse. Either give us a smaller box or way more balls, because right now, it feels like someone packed a thimble in a shoebox. Pros: Excellent quality stainless steel Wide range of sizes from 1mm to 10mm Their weight is normal. (These are NOT lead balls!) Great for bearings, DIY projects, and mechanical repairs Cons: Packaging feels empty. Not in a poetic way, just literally Could use more quantity per size, especially the common ones Calling it an “assortment” is generous; it’s more like a sampler Final thought: Good product, weird presentation. You’ll get solid performance, but don’t expect to be overwhelmed by volume as the value is a bit on the low side if you ask me.

These ball bearings come in a wide variety of sizes. The plastic case they come in has movable slides to accommodate more balls. The compartments are designed to keep your sizes separated. There still is a chance for a mix up if box is not handled properly. I suggest you compare your ball bearings for sizes before inserting. The balls are perfectly round and highly polished and ready for use. They are made of stainless steel so makes them rust resistant. This is a great item for the Diyers workshop. I can remember helping dad trying to find lost ball bearings on his workshop floor. So this is a real timesaver. 304 ball bearings for this price is a real bonus especially with all the different sizes. I ordered these ball bearings as an item to have on hand when needed. So if the guys are working on the machinery and need some they have them. I highly recommend this item.

I engineer and build a lot of things in my shop. As a result, I often use bearings with races. However, sometimes those races will lose a bearing here or there. Or, in the case of a swiveling bar stool that I rebuilt last year, the swivel mechanism became loose, allowing about 10 of the 30 ball bearings that sat in a recessed groove, to fall out and become lost. Anyhow, it's in moments like this, it's nice to have various ball bearing sizes on hand to pull from, to repair the proper functionality of such projects. These 304 SS ball bearings are a great quality option and have already served me well many times. Recommended.

I actually got these for tractors. There's a lot of places where little ball bearings are used like injection pumps, hydraulic valves, transmissions, etc. And when you drop one on the floor and it rolls away, there goes half a day hunting for a tiny bearing, or worse you wind up running to the hardware or auto parts store to try and find a replacement. This assortment has a good range of sizes. In most cases one of these will work. In most cases where balls are used for flow control, the size doesn't have to be exact. If its big enough to not go inside the seat, and small enough to move freely where it should, then it will work. These are good enough quality for my needs. They are nice and smooth. The case is well made. I would recommend keeping these around. Great item!

This is a nice organized set of ball bearings that can be used on bicycles, drawer slides, rotating chair mounts, and a variety of other things. They are nicely organized in a plastic case with clear information of what each of the ball bearings are on the under side of the lid (which is rather nice). I do wish we received a tad more of the larger sizes in this set, but most of the sizes have an abundant amount. The size range is wonderful, as is goes from super tiny, to fairly large. I also do not think these are likely to rust. This will be a nice functional set for any shop or garage. Personally I plan to use this set to replace some ball bearings in the hubs of some older bikes I have, as well as address some small trailers that need fixed. This looks like a good solution for those products. This is an affordable set of ball bearings for what you get, and I think it has been a good purchase.
