Well heck! I didn't think it was going to be so perfect. I bought it as a sail shade weight to anchor against wind. The surface of this monster looks like a perfect mirror, a proper gazing ball, if you will. I'm reluctant to drill it and let it get scratched up. I guess I'll have to mess around with it until I naturally bruise it up. It is HEAVY, a seriously dense, polished, perfectly round sphere. I showed it to my neighbor and handed it to him -he almost dropped it because the heft is so unexpected. package arrived quickly, and I'm both pleased and humbled.

These bearings are perfect for my display. I am sure they would be great for their intended use, but I am using them as decorations in a display. These precision cut bearings work well and they add that little extra exactly where it is needed. All 5 bearings are in great condition. The size and shine are exactly what I hoped for when I bought them. The bearing size is very good as is their weight. They are very durable, too. Recommended... in displays and in their original, intended use.

I use this for a good hand and wrist workout. Perhaps not its intended use, but that's alright by me. Good size to grip in the hand while remaining maneuverable. I made sure to clean off the packing grease before trying to grip it (don't want this to slip out and fall on my foot). So far it's still remained rust free, despite openly sitting on my desk between uses. Pretty shiny - enough to act like a distorted mirror - though I could give it a good polish if I want to take my handprints off it. Since I'm not sticking it in a machine, I can't speak to its concentricity or any other important factor. Feels pretty round, though.

I am a hobby blacksmith and I purchased this ball bearing to create a tool for shaping and texturing copper ladles. I have made several copper as well as steel ladles on this bearing now. I’ve missed a couple times with my hammer but the bearing still has no mars or dents. Very tough smooth steel! It has also been out in my barn for months and there is absolutely no rust. This tool should last a LOOONG time. I was actually surprised at the affordability of this item, I had thought a bearing this big would cost a lot more. Very happy with my purchase.

I ordered these to replace the balls in a very old (obsolete) CDE AR22L antenna rotator. I replaced the original 6-ball top and 6-ball bottom ball bearings and cage with a "full compliment BB setup", which ended up requiring more than I anticipated (106 BBs), so I had to use 6 of the original bearings to fill the circumference. These were sized perfectly, which allowed that. No more broken "spring steel bearing cage" to break and destroy my rotor motor ring gear. A wise engineer once said "Parts left out cost nothing, and rarely cause problems", LOL. It should be stronger than ever, too, able to take "more than stock vertical loads", without denting the races.
