I ordered this on June 1 and it was delivered the morning of June 2 -- and I'm wearing it now! This is a beautiful chain to hold my small diamond pendant. The 1.5mm chain seems pretty thin and delicate, so I'm not sure I'd go much lighter unless you are looking for something whisper-thin and barely there. The chain itself is sparkly and it seems strong, so I expect it will hold up well. If I could change anything, I would make the lobster claw clasp larger. It is very tiny and it was somewhat difficult for me to manipulate. The clasp might be a challenge for older fingers or those who don't have assistance. I haven’t had my chain but about a week, but I also haven’t taken it off since I put it on. Based on this, the sturdiness seems to be good. It is a very pretty chain. I wear a small diamond cross on my chain and it looks very nice. I noticed one comment said that their chain did not come with the lobster clasp but mine did. I bought the white gold 24" 1.5 mm chain and it is beautiful. I love it. I have never owned a wheat style link necklace before, and it is so sparkly and pretty. It is a bit lightweight, but fits my lightweight pendant perfectly.

Love the sparkle of the chain and while not a chain that looks sturdy it is. My one complaint is the tab on the lobster claw is very short and not easy to fasten. Arthritic hands would have a problem. I would order again. Love the chain for its sparkle and strength.
