Bought for my diamond cross. It's perfect. Lasted 3 yrs and I just needed to replace lock. It's still holding up. Love, love ,love this! I also like that it has a lobster lock opposed to a spring clasp lock which I feel are cheap.

This is the perfect chain for my diamond solitaire!! I wanted it to be contemporary, noticeable, and shiny, and it's all that without being too big or too small or too sparkly! I just love it! If you want something dainty that you don't really feel around your neck, this is not for you. This size (1.3mm) gets the attention but does not distract from your pendant. The lobster claw clasp feels very secure, too. When comparing necklaces, be sure to check the weight of each of them (grams), apples to apples. This necklace is much heavier (more gold content) than others of the same size and design because it does not use hollow gold. Big difference! ... show more

Update Sept 2024: I purchased a 14K Yellow Gold 20 Inch 1.3mm Chain for my wife. Not very pleased with this purchase. The chain was only 3.9 Grams in weight vs the Web Description of 5.2 Grams [25% Less Gold]. The chain does not lay straight. The box did not include the actual weight vs the one I ordered 5 years ago. I returned this chain as the quality has diminished! Original Purchase June 2019: My Wife Loves this Chain! This is an upgrade to her 20 inch 0.5 mm Box Chain that came with her diamond pendant. She wanted a heavier 18 inch Box Chain with a lobster clasp and this 1.3 mm Box Chain fit the bill perfectly. My measurement of the chain is 1.24 mm wide and 5.2 grams in total weight. The 14K White Gold Box Chain is clearly stamped 14K. The necklace came in a nice gift box and included the specs stamped on a plastic pouch (CH-0474-180, 14K Chain, 18 inch, 5.17 grams). This Box Chain is nearly 5.8 times heavier than the chain it replaces and still remains dainty...but seriously stronger for a nice sense of security.
