  • Tool set
Style: 57-Pieces
Great little multipurpose tool set
Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2026 by Amazon Customer

  • Convenient Set. Well made. Decent value for the cost. Convenient Set. Well made. Decent value for the cost.
Style: 57-Pieces
I picked up the MarvTool 57-Piece Tool Set to have on hand for quick projects around the house. The carrying case is really nice and compact, and it has these custom molded grooves that keep everything snapped firmly in place so nothing rattles around. I noticed that a pair of the hex wrenches were a little bit loose in their slots, but otherwise, everything stays put. There weren't any odd smells or strange textures when we opened it up. The tools themselves work quite well, and my husband hasn't had any issues using the various screwdrivers. The selection of interchangeable bits is super great because there are so many options to choose from. The tape measure is also very reliable, as it rolls out and retracts smoothly for the full ten feet. The hammer is definitely on the smaller side, so it is better suited for light tasks like furniture assembly rather than heavy duty work. The set is quite lightweight and easy to move around, which makes it a handy kit to have tucked away in a drawer. Since it includes things like utility knives and scissors, it is versatile enough for all those little household tasks that pop up. For the cost of 29.99 at the time I am writing this, it is a really decent value because you would definitely spend much more if you tried to buy all these individual pieces separately. Bottom line, it is a great go to kit for most residential purposes and basic home repairs. ... show more

  • Nailed the Basics: A Solid Starter Kit 🔨
Style: 140-Pieces
Nailed the Basics: A Solid Starter Kit 🔨 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Executive Summary This 140-piece kit serves as an ideal entry point for anyone needing a reliable set of tools for light-duty home maintenance. It covers all the fundamental bases without the unnecessary bulk of professional-grade equipment, making it a high-value choice for those establishing their first toolbox. Key Highlights • Comprehensive selection including a 3.7V cordless driver, hammer, and adjustable wrench. • Hard-shell carrying case with custom-molded slots for organized storage. • Lightweight design optimized for furniture assembly and minor household fixes. • Includes a generous assortment of 77 fasteners to handle immediate hanging or repair needs. Detailed Analysis The kit is centered around a compact 3.7V cordless power drill that excels at tasks like driving screws into pre-drilled holes or assembling flat-pack furniture. While it is not designed for heavy construction, the 230 RPM speed and built-in LED work light make it a very capable companion for indoor tasks in tight spaces. The ergonomic design ensures that even those less familiar with power tools can operate it comfortably and safely. The hand tools included, such as the claw hammer and long-nose pliers, feel balanced and sufficient for typical homeowner duties. The inclusion of both precision screwdrivers and a wide variety of drill bits means you are unlikely to be caught off guard by a non-standard fastener. Everything is housed in a sturdy case with secure latches, which prevents the common frustration of tools rattling loose during transport. While a seasoned pro might look for more torque or forged steel components, the utility provided here is exceptional for the target audience. It is a thoughtfully curated collection that prioritizes accessibility and organization over industrial-strength power. The value proposition is clear: you get exactly what you need to keep a household running smoothly without over-complicating your storage. Final Verdict Pros: Excellent organization, includes essential power and hand tools, very lightweight and portable. Cons: Cordless driver is for light duty only, lacks adjustable torque settings. Recommendation This set is the perfect match for first-time homeowners, apartment dwellers, or students moving into a new space who need a dependable "go-to" kit for daily repairs and DIY projects. ... show more

  • Good for the office drawer, not the garage. A fair kit at a fair price. Good for the office drawer, not the garage. A fair kit at a fair price.
Style: 57-Pieces
I ordered this to keep in my office for light occasional tasks - hanging a picture, tightening a loose hinge, that kind of thing. For that use case, it does the job. The closest comparison I can think of is the Harbor Freight 64263 (check that one too if you're shopping). That kit runs about $39.99 and this one is priced at about $29.99 as of April 2025. The $10 difference comes down to one thing: the HF kit includes a small socket set and a wrench. This one doesn't - no sockets at all, by design. Quality: The tools are pot metal construction, which is exactly what you'd expect at this price and for this purpose. The hammer is light and short - not a framing hammer, not even close - but fine for a tack or a picture hook. Nothing here is going to hold up to real daily use, and that's fine as long as you know what you're getting. Value for money: At $29.99, it's reasonable for what it is. If you pair it with a cheap socket set - I use a Kobalt set I picked up on sale for around $10 - you're at essentially the same capability as the HF kit for about the same total cost, just in two cases instead of one. The one genuine miss is the lack of any sockets. Even 4 or 6 common sizes would make this a much more complete kit. That's what keeps it at 4 stars. Bottom line: a decent light-duty kit for an office, junk drawer, or guest room - just don't expect it to handle anything serious, and budget for a small socket set if you don't already have one. ... show more

  • Unexpectedly durable, and well made.
Style: 57-Pieces
Although I have a LOT of tools, I tend to keep them on our detached garage. I wanted to get just a small toolset to keep in the house for smaller, minor needs. Although this doesn’t some with a wrench/socket set, it had everything else that I was looking for (mostly stuff to assemble cheap furniture and similar), so I decided to give it a shot. First of all the “inexpensive” tool set space is crowded with (in my opinion) hundreds of options. So a few of the things that I look for are that the tools don’t “feel” cheap (because they tend to not be durable), and that they actually fit the spaces in which they are designed to be used. In this case, things like the screwdriver bits and Allen (hex) wrenches. In both cases, these tools pass the test. The only exception was the tape measure, which does feel a bit on the cheap side, but I have about ½ dozen tape measures at home so for me that’s not at all big deal. I had the opportunity to put together a small storage shelf set with these tools, and everything fit very well. There was little-to-no play in either the (Phillips) screwdriver bits or the hex tools, and the shelves went together well. The tools showed no noticeable wear afterward, which is a good sign for long-term durability. Overall, at this price point, this is a good little toolkit. I wouldn’t use it daily, or for particularly rough work. Still, for occasional, around the house use, this would be a good solution for most. ... show more

  • The Perfect Starter Kit for Home Maintenance
Style: 57-Pieces
I recently picked up the MarvTool 57-Piece Tool Kit for general household repairs, and it has quickly become my go-to for small projects around the house. For anyone looking for a reliable, all-in-one starter set, this is a fantastic value. Quality & Performance The first thing that stands out is the durability of the tools. Unlike some budget kits that feel flimsy, these tools have a solid weight and a corrosion-resistant finish that feels like it will last. The 16 oz fiberglass hammer is particularly well-balanced, providing enough power for driving nails while significantly reducing hand fatigue thanks to its shock-absorbing handle. Versatility for Home Projects This set is incredibly well-thought-out for everyday "DIY" tasks. It includes: Precision Tools: The 72-tooth ratchet and assortment of 6-point sockets are great for tightening furniture or working on a bike. Ergonomic Design: The bi-material screwdrivers and slip-joint pliers have comfortable, non-slip grips that give you excellent leverage, even in tight spaces. Essential Accessories: Having a tape measure, utility knife, and a full set of hex keys in one place has saved me countless trips to the garage. Organization The blow-molded carrying case is a huge plus. Every tool has a specific, labeled spot, making it easy to see if something is missing. It’s compact enough to slide into a kitchen drawer or keep on a shelf without taking up much room. Pros: Comprehensive Selection: Covers 90% of common household repair needs. High-Quality Materials: Tools feel sturdy and are built for long-term use. Great Portability: The hard case is durable and keeps everything organized. Excellent Grip: Handles are designed for comfort during extended use. Cons: Basic Kit: While perfect for home repairs, professional mechanics might need more specialized sizes. Bottom Line: If you’ve ever found yourself needing a screwdriver or a wrench and realized you didn't have one, this MarvTool 57-Piece Set is the answer. It’s a high-quality, practical investment for any homeowner, renter, or student. It also makes an excellent housewarming gift for someone setting up their first place. ... show more

  • Good enough for the money Good enough for the money
Style: 57-Pieces
The product was shipped quickly and arrived well- protected. This is a very basic, low-ish quality tool set. It does have most of the necessary tools for light household repairs. But if you are not into fixing thing and- or not particularly handy so you do t jump into complex projects- this toolset is adequate. The toolset comes into a nice sturdy storage box so you can keep all the pieces together and carry it around with ease. It is small and portable enough to store it using very little space making it ideal for small living spaces which is what I believe it is intended for to begin with. Overall, I give it 5 stars for the price point vs quality which makes it a good buy. Again, those are not professional grade tools (nowhere near it), but for what they are- they are good enough. ... show more

  • Light duty tool in a handy organized storage case for minor repair projects Light duty tool in a handy organized storage case for minor repair projects
Style: 140-Pieces
This 140 piece tool set came with a hard case that holds all the tools. Each tool has a predetermined spot that it snaps into. This makes it easy to keep them organized and easy to reach. The case locks together by closing the orange clip type closer over the tabs on the other side of the case. They keep it tightly closed and I haven't had any problems with them. Inside there is a wide verity of tools. There are pliers, screw drivers, wrenches, a hammer and just about every tool I will need to do household projects. The quality is not the best. They are definitely made for light duty jobs. It does come with a rechargeable screw gun that charged fast and still had a charge after using it on six medium length screws. It does not have any adjustable torque setting. It is set for screwing into pre drilled holes or tightly screws that have become loose. That is not an issue for me. I dont plan on doing major remodeling with this set. I wanted it to do minor updates or repairs in my house. This set provides me with all the tools to do exactly that. It keeps everything together and doesnt take up a lot if space. The price of around $50 is fair for the140 different light duty tools that comes with an organized storage box. These will make my projects around the house easier. ... show more
