My 4 year old was so excited about this black and red dirt bike. It has a great look and the staggered training wheels work well to keep him stable while he learns. He got the hang of the twist throttle right away and loves cruising around the driveway. The bike moves at a safe, slow pace which is perfect for his age. Assembly took me about 40 minutes and was a bit tricky. The instructions weren't very clear and getting the rear wheel mounted was definitely a two person job. Once it was all together, it felt reasonably solid despite being mostly plastic. The performance is good for a starter ride-on. The 12V battery and dual rear motors provide enough power for flat surfaces and the battery lasts a surprisingly long time between charges. I really appreciate the side charging port, which means I don't have to remove the seat to plug it in. We also connected my phone via bluetooth to play music, though the built-in speaker is fairly quiet. One thing to watch is the braking. When my son lets off the throttle, the bike stops abruptly and can lock the rear tire for a moment, especially on even a small decline. It caused a little skid the first time it happened. Because of this I would recommend to use this exclusively on flat ground with close supervision. This is a fun electric motorcycle with some thoughtful features. For a first ride-on, it delivers a good experience. It's a great fit for young beginners around 3 to 5 years old but would likely be too slow for kids over 6 or anyone wanting more performance.

My 4 year old has been playing with the 12V Kids Motorcycle with Training Wheels the past 3 days and she's having quite a bit of fun so far. The motorcycle is just the right size without being too overbearing. I'm sure she'll fit even better as she grows up. I like a lot of the features that the 12V Kids Motorcycle with Training Wheels has such as the speaker with Bluetooth, wrist accelerator, the removable training wheels. I will say that while the acceleration is smooth, the deceleration is not. If you're going on a flat road and get up to speed, releasing the throttle will cause the rear tire to lock up. This can cause a short slide on flat roads and longer more dangerous slides on declines. If terms of speed, the motorcycle is plenty fast for this age group and overall I like the toy as long as you're supervising the child playing with it. Here are some additional notes and details in no particular order. - Assembly took an hour. Installing the training wheels were difficult because the screw and the hole didn't align up correctly. - The radio comes with preset tunes but get boring over time. Best to use your phone and stream music on it. - Most of the body panels are plastic including the seat. - There are no lights or reflectors on it. I recommend buying some and installing them yourself. - The handlebar angle can be adjusted which is good for a growing toddler. Attaching some photos here of the pieces and completed assembly. I’ll be the first to admit I’m no mechanical whiz, but this bike took my assembly anxiety to a whole new level. It took me several hours over a couple of days to figure out which screws went where and how the tighteners were supposed to secure the bolts. Even after following the video on the Amazon page step by step, I still ended up taking one axle to a friend for help removing a stubborn bolt. For what it’s worth, even the person in the video needed a second set of hands to mount the rear wheel! In the end, I got it all put together - though I’m still not entirely sure every screw and bolt is exactly where it’s meant to be. Now, once assembled, the bike itself is pretty solid - especially for the price range. It’s not an all-terrain machine or a mini Harley, but a well-made kids’ bike with training wheels and a modest little motor that propels it at a safe, slow pace. Perfect for a 3- to 6-year-old who wants the thrill of a “motorcycle” without any of the danger. The components and wiring seem well built, and the materials feel sturdy. The onboard music isn’t very loud, but it’s fine - it’s a toy bike, not a concert on wheels. Overall, I think the price is reasonable for the quality. My only real complaint is the overly complicated assembly - especially the rear wheel and guard. It’s definitely a two-person job if you want to stay sane. But, I'm not taking off any stars for the issue - some of the problem may be my own klutziness. That said, once it’s all together, it looks great and works as expected. I can easily imagine any young child being absolutely thrilled to find this under the Christmas tree.

This is a review, straight from my husband's mouth "the assembly is great if you're an octopus". Needless to say, you need at least two people to put this together! It's a great ride on toy for beginners, however, I do think the age range for this item is OFF by quite a lot. My son is six, and though he can fit on this ride on, unfortunately it is extremely slow. My son has been riding a bike without training wheels for quite a while, so we didn't put them on this motorcycle... Well, it is so slow that my son has a hard time balancing. It is super cute, it plays music and has a twist grip throttle that very much resembles a motorcycle. I am just disappointed at the speed and the fact that the listing says for 3-8 year olds. I would say that this item is more appropriate for 4-5 year olds- any older and your pushing them to get bored or fall. I do really like this ride on, the design is good, the directions were easy to follow, and it came with all the tools needed to assemble..... The age range is just slightly off so that is why I deducted a star.
