This is a good pump and does exactly what I need. It is a bit louder than I expected. I had one of the cheap gas can pumps and it was virtually silent, so this was a bit different than expected, but not bad. Also it comes assembled, but for whatever reason they don't put the rubber gasket in. They just have it in the package, which looks like spares. I wish they didn't assemble it, because I would have caught that before it leaked into the case. but after installing the gasket, it worked fine. The pump is strong enough to self prime, as advertised, so all is goof there. Overall, it meets my needs as long as it lasts.

Complete gas transfer pump system. Very well done! Heavy duty case with pump MOUNTED in the case. All components look quality and I have had no problems. The one thing that would help would be a little longer pick-up tubing, and a couple more feet of 12V cord to cig lighter plug. Neither issue is major, and I would defiantly recommend. I usually use to fuel my pontoon boat, without trying to hold a 5 gal gas can slowly pour out in an awkward position (for my back)....and spilling fuel in the water. This pump solves these problems for me.

Worked great for a year. Used it three different times during sand dune and offroad trail vacations. Was going to use it to transfer gas from gas cans to use it up and it will not pull the gas up. Appears to have and internal air leak path preventing it to fully prim the line. Checked and tightened fittings, manually fill and prim the hose did not work. I almost never post negative reviews as I am not a picky or complaining person. This one really pissed me off.

Pros - Container holds everything in one place - Lower part of fuel suction tube has a cable with a small wheel to allow it to go into fuel inlets. - Seems to be good flow, but see Cons. Cons - The pump is bolted into the container, which makes it challenging to empty everything when finished pumping so you won't have fuel collecting in the container. - Section of suction hose closest to pump is very soft and collapses from suction--a 12" length of 3/8" fuel hose would solve this problem. (see picture) - Pump isn't very strong--it will only lift about 3 1/2 feet, the fuel opening for my tractor is 5 feet above ground. I used this to remove 10 gallons of diesel fuel from my truck's fuel tank. The system worked okay, ALTHOUGH the section of hose nearest the intake side of the pump is very soft and flexible, and it flattened due to the suction so I had to constantly tend it and make sure it didn't starve the pump. The concept is good, and it's definitely very handy to be able to pump fuel rather than lift heavy fuel cans that don't flow well, but the execution is lacking. Better systems are available for less money... buy you own container and save.

We used this to syphon about 25 gallons of gas out of our boat. It is fast and easy to use. We were able to empty the tank in no time at all very simple to hook up and much safer than what we had done in the past with more manual options.

Bought this because it was considerably cheaper well it works considerably slower too. I use this for fuel pump recall for mercedes benz I don't use the hoses it came with. Also the fuel neck plastic thing it came with is far too large for the MB's
