With the decline and bankruptcy/reorganization of Arcade1Up, I was really glad to find this charger available still. I’ve had their original power bricks fail more than once in the past, and previously I was able to get replacements directly from the company. That may not be as simple going forward, so having a reliable spare on hand feels like a smart move. I tested this with my Ridge Racer arcade cabinet and confirmed it works properly. The cord length was identical to the original, and that is to say, plenty long. The price was perfectly in line for what I was expecting. It plugged right in, fit perfectly, and worked identically to the original one. The plastic case and cord are both thick and heavy enough to give an air of durability. If you own compatible arcade machines and either need a replacement power cord because yours went bad or your lost it, or just want backup power insurance, this is absolutely worth having around. ... show more

This works as a straightforward replacement power supply for Arcade1Up units that use 12V. Plug it in and it powers up without any issues or extra steps. The fit on the barrel connector is solid and doesn’t feel loose or wobbly. It stays connected during use and doesn’t cut in and out. The brick itself is lightweight and runs at a normal temperature. It doesn’t get excessively hot during longer play sessions. Cable length is decent and gives enough flexibility for most setups without needing an extension right away. The main thing to double-check is compatibility. This is for 12V models only, so it won’t work with the newer 5V units. I had high hopes for this because the connector seemed like an exact match for my device. When I plugged it in, everything fit securely and looked like it should work without any issues. Unfortunately, it never powered on my machine. I tried multiple outlets and rechecked all the connections, but there were no lights or signs of power at all. To rule out my device being the issue, I tested it with another compatible power source, and it worked immediately. What’s frustrating is that it appears to fit perfectly, which can make troubleshooting confusing. Even though it connects properly, it didn’t deliver any power in my case. The Ruiqiu is a 12V power supply adapter for Arcade1up machines. It has higher input and output amps compared to factory Arcade1up power supplies. Ruiqiu (and Google) state it's ok to have higher amps as long as voltage is the same which it is at 100-240V input and 12V output. Where the power cord plugs into Arcade1up's power cord the tip is a little longer than original so it sticks out more. In my Ms Pac-Man Deluxe Vault it's still relatively tight even with extra space but in my OutRun sit-down you notice the connection is a looser. When I turned on my OutRun sit-down it did power up. Conclusion is this power supply does seem to work but I wish there wasn't so much of a gap, it had a tighter connection and was closer to Arcade1up factory power supply. *Pictures are of Arcade1up OutRun sit-down, Dragon's Lair, Street Fighter 2 Deluxe and Ms Pac-Man Deluxe Vault power supplies and cord tips to compare. ... show more

The power supply arrived in an un-assuming plain package. Out of the package, the fit and finish are as good and compatable to the OEM power supply for the Arcade1Up. most importantly, the plug end fit and it worked as it should. After being on for awhile, it does not get very warm and seems to work just fine with hours of continuos on/run time. If you are looking for a reasonable replacemetn for that older, earlier Gen Arcade 1up, this supply fits the bill and powers your game. ... show more

Works great if you lost your power supply, like I did during a move. It's nice to have my machine working again. This one has the brick in the middle of the cord, and I think my original had the brick on the wall plug itself, so it stays plugged in to the wall better.
