I recently received this "Artificial Grass, Reusable Dog Training Mat Large Size - 4 X 6FT Fake Grass Turf Rug with Drainage Holes for Outdoor Indoor, Porch, Patio, Balcony (Thickness：1.35inch)" and I'm loving how thick the 1.35 inch artificial turf is - considerably thicker than most I've tried. This 4x6 grass rug is being used in my back yard in a small, enclosed area reserved for my pup. The thicker texture on this faux turf is nice. I'm not sure my pup appreciates it, but I like knowing that when she's out in her private yard, basking in the sun, that she's got a LITTLE bit of cushioning between her body and the pavers of the patio. It's also nice that they've gone to the trouble to include the "undergrowth" layer in a very organic, albeit dry-looking, brown color, which looks so much like real grass I plucked a couple of strands to verify they're fakers too! XD Even up close, the grass looks pretty realistic - as real as (or more real than) I anticipated - and yes, a lot of that has to do with the "dead" grass in the bottom layer. The green isn't quite the color of the actual grass growing on the other side of the fence, but it's passable enough and there are a lot of different green shades used in the fibers, so it looks pretty realistic to me. The underside of the grass is a rubber backing but lacks the oversized holes for drainage I've typically seen. That being said, I've not had any issues with this rug holding water, so either the holes are just very small and I didn't notice them, or the rubberized liner on the bottommost layer is just very porous. I went to the product listing to see if I just overlooked that detail, and asked Rufus. Rufus said the product DOES have drainage holes, so I guess I just didn't look closely enough. Typically I've seen the layer of backing in black, but this particular carpet's lining is a green that almost matches the grass fibers. The texture on the rubber is stiffer than I'm used to, but it also seems more durable. I suspect the thickness may be related to the density of the carpet fibers, but that's speculation on my part. Despite being very firm, the backing is still pretty flexible and can be cut relatively easily if you need to trim it down. Personally, my secret for a lot of the makeshift faux-turfing I've been doing is to simply fold the edges under before staking the section into the dirt. It's situational, but it has worked nicely to fold under a corner to get a wall-to-wall edge along the portion of fence I had to place diagonally. I figure the double-layer of the artificial grass just serves as additional weed barrier, and didn't require cutting to make the grass reach the edge. This 4 x 6 artificial grass carpet was priced at $54.99 when I placed my order and I would gladly order it again. Happy to recommend!

I’m writing about the 47.0"L x 31.5"W x 1.4"Th option. So my dog loves taking naps outside in the summer. He has two favorites: our backyard and our front porch. With this mat, he’s now getting the best of both worlds. He was so excited when we first took it out. He instantly pawed at it a bit, and then got super comfortable laying on it. I don’t know if he “thinks” it’s actual grass, but he’s certainly enjoying laying on it. It’s so much better than his usual porch-laying on the concrete. The grass is appropriately thick. It's like the length of normal grass. It's quite durable; he's been pawing and scratching at it and it still looks brand new. It’s very easy to wash off too. We just hose it down and let it dry outside. When the weather is bad we just roll it up and put it under a table. Great purchase! My star ratings explained: 5 stars = Exceptional. I recommend to friends. 4 stars = Exceeded expectations. 3 stars = Met expectations. Satisfied with purchase but not overwhelmed. 2 stars = Failed to meet expectations but usable. 1 star = Avoid

Bought this mat for the play area for my rabbits. They love binkying through the grass and have not tried to eat it, so that is a win. It looks like decently good grass, and is soft enough to walk on barefoot. Its a great size and didn't weigh too much. Its also thick enough that it doesn't have bare spots. If it gets dirty, I just take it outside and hose it off. Very functional.

This product is great large roll and grass is plush and interestingly soft. I have this on my patio trying to teach my dogs to use bathroom on it before I take it indoors. Easy to wash, so far no lingering smell of pee. The quality of this product is very nice and functions great. The look of this grass looks like fake grass but looks very nice and full.

I LOVE the plush soft strands. It even has the tiny ones to mimic the dead thatch underneath. The underside is thick and durable. There are drainage holes that does let the water through. We had a good rain and it wasn’t flooded like others we have. I feel that this is an excellent value for the quality.
