Easy to install. Started on the first kick. Must have been sitting a while because it smoked a lot during its break in period. But after running for about 30 minutes it cleaned up. I recommend changing the oil out immediately as it’s shipping oil. Besides that it runs very well. I did not use the provided carb as it was not right for my application. With a vm26 it’s perfect for me. The neutral gear is the only negative. It’s difficult to get to neutral while the engine is running, and half the time when shifting from 1-2 it will fall into neutral. It’s annoying, but considering the price and the application of the kind of bike it’s installed in, it’s manageable. This engine is not designed for a high performance race pitter. Just a basic upgrade for your older Honda 50 or replace your engine in your China bike. Does a good job for what I bought it for. ... show more

Package came all beat up and had a wet spot near where the top end sat (which I’m assuming is the oil I felt when I pulled the engine out of the box). The top end was also had a gaping hole that led from the bottom of the top end where the exhaust header goes to the front of the low end as shown in the pictures. The mount where the exhaust goes has styrofoam stuffed all the way in there which idk how I’ll get that out. I had low expectations for this engine to begin with so I’m not very surprised. I’m not sure if it’s the companies fault or amazons delivery system bc the last engine I got had similar issues, looked like the box had been dropped from a few stories. The carb that came in the package was missing the lever to hold the choke closed. The clutch mount on this engine is very tight as well, not sure if that’s a result of shipping or manufacturing.     • Clutch assembly fell apart within the 2nd day of breaking the motor in.
Engine is okay for the money. First issue with the motor was the transmission was funky and hard to get into nutreal 2nd thing was the engine sometimes doesnt want to kick over sounds like the gears inside stripped out and wont turn the engine over. Finally got it to turn over and work half decently then the clutch assembly fell apart spring and lever came off luckly i know my way around and engine and found there is a pin under the cover holding the clutch lever in the pin is held in with silicon and it let loose and fell out all in all im a little dissapointed in it. ... show more

Motor runs great sounds great the carb that came with it is ok not the best but runs I rode it to end of my drive way in 1st gear and went to pop a wheelie and the sprocket broke smh motor is great tho

    • Fun and fast
Dislike that it does not come with the needed wiring kit to make it run. Nor does it come with a clutch cable, throttle cable, kick stand, or exhaust. Due to not having the factory equipment its been nothing but problems having to purchase many different items that end up not working correctly.

The only thing about this motor thay fits a crf50 is the motor mount pattern. The intake they send you to match the carb that came with the motor sits the carb in a position you would never be able to install the throttle cable unless you never had a gas tank. The stock throttle cables also do not work with their carb. If I was able to get the carb to work some how I do believe I would have been able to fire it up the first night the wiring harness did hook up to the stock crf50 harness after I changed a few connectors and I was able to get spark. It didn't come with a clutch cable but I new that in advance from reading other reviews the placement of the motor in the frame makes it hard to route the cable and it operate smooth but thats the least of my worries at this point I'll update at I find way around these problems 11/7/21 ... show more

First thing was when it was shipped to me it looked like someone threw it down a hill and oil was everywhere I put it on the bike I built and drove it around to break it in and when I changed the oil the has big chuncks of metal in the oil this is the 3rd motor I've bought off here and it doesn't work ... show more
