Why did you pick this product vs others?: The style and look of these plates and bowls were exactly what I wanted. The unglazed bottoms make them look elegant. Weight: The dishes are quite heavy and feel like great quality. They came really carefully packaged with not chips or scratches on them. Color: The color is a warm cream that fits with just about any theme you are wanting for a dinner party. Durability: We don't use ours for everyday eating but the times we have used them the dishes hold up great and are easy to clean.

These dishes are really cute. I love that 1/4th are a gold color as it coordinates with my yellow kitchen tiles nicely. They were well packed, but unfortunately one of the dinner plates has a chip out of the surface. Even so, the plates are a nice weight, and the bowls are generously sized. I think I am going to enjoy these dishes!

I am writing this review after using the set for multiple weeks and I first want to say I am very happy with this set. This is a very nice set and the dishes are well made, look high quality and are dishwasher safe. We've put them in the dishwasher multiple times and they are not affected at all. They look like they could be handmade and I really like the look and feel. The brown undersides feel rough to the touch, as if they are made of clay and I really enjoy that since there are two different textures on each piece and it gives the set a artisanal look and feel. The plates and bowls are scratch resistant and after many uses they still look like new and I am very happy with the quality and durability. They are exactly as shown in the pictures and I'm very happy with the set.

I am still gearing up my new kitchen after a hurricane destroyed my place, so I am always happy to be offered anything to help that along. This particular set is right up my alley, discreet and high quality. I am a big fan of clay ceramic and love that the bottoms are left unglazed like this. I was also very happy with the bowl sizes, often finding them too small for a reasonable soup portion in sets like these. The one thing I wasn't sure about about when I first saw the listing was the lip on the plates, but even that is so understated in person it really does come across like a simple design element and not that you're worried people are going to scoot their food off the plate. I just love them. I will say the speckle is more random and more pronounced than I expected. That's not a negative, but it was a surprise for me so I've got a close up for you in my pictures to see how that comes across. Overall, they're fantastic and a perfect match for me.

12 Pieces Farmhouse Stoneware Dinnerware Set for 4, Speckled Ceramic Plates and Bowls. - I like the edge of the plates - there's no wasted space like plates that have the wider slopes. The bowls hold a good amount and you don't have to worry about spilling out of these bowls. It's a very attractive set that you'd be proud to serve others. - I like the cream color. The terracotta on the underside is a different color. The colors are very complementary. I wish that color extended at least another half inch up the sides of all 3 pieces because would be a nice design element. - They worked well in the microwave and the dishwasher. - This stoneware is sturdy and possibly a little heavier than you're used to. But both my husband and I like them and decided to buy another set of 4 to replace our older set of dishes.
