Extremely high quality wood. Beautiful grain with the perfect color for clear-finishing or staining. And it cuts like butter, with no knots or voids that cause surface damage. Essentially, near perfect wood for laser cutting and engraving. And it is perfectly flat. Even when removed from its packaging, most sheets are flat and true. At the very most, a tiny bit of reverse bending will make it lie perfectly flat in my laser bed. With so much hit-and-miss when buying laser-blanks, even the most expensive wood can be unusable, or have pieces that are below standards. Picked this up for some laser engraving, and it's not too shabby. Shipped in a box rather than just plastic wrap. Most all of it was straight, which is very important to me, (cutting and engraving warped wood is a no-go). Color was quite consistent, and the cut and engravings I did came out great.

The quality of this wood is outstanding! Very little to no warping at all. In fact, most pieces are almost perfectly straight. However, if you're going to stain this wood, sanding both sides with 220 grit sandpaper is your best bet. The color turns out amazing after sanding. I highly, highly recommend this product! These are perfect. No warping and the laser cut through with ease. I was also able to create beautiful engraving of a photograph of our pup for my daughter. The wood is lightweight and sturdy. I've created quite a few projects and will definitely buy again.
