These Rebar (metal stakes not plastic) Stakes are exactly what we were looking for. I have a puppy that thinks she is a runner. Every now and then she runs out the front door as fast as she can. I had to find a way to stop her. It took awhile but I finally found a dog fence with a gate that was almost as wide as my front porch (155 inches). It was still 5 inches short so it couldn't be connected to the sides of the house. These stakes were easy to install. They came painted black with sharp points that made it easy to hammer into our rocky dirt. They went in far enough (about 11 inches) to provide stability for the whole fence. We then installed a bungee cord on each side of the fence to connect to the top to my bricks without any drilling into anything. You can't see the J steaks or the bungee cords at all.

Wow! These stakes are super heavy duty and work well. They are made of rebar and are being used to hold down our large Halloween animatronics. Our yard does have a bit of a slope so they tend to lean forward. They were easy to hammer into the ground with a mallet and have a sharpened end to ease insertion. They did not bend or become misshapen when hammered into our clay soil. I didn't expect them to bend as the metal is very solid. So far they have held down the decorations well but we have not had any storms or crazy Texas wind storms.

Used do building a patio area on a slopped area to hold cinder blocks in place. Easy to hammer in. Study to hold bricks in place through multiple seasons. A little shiny for my liking but covered them with the reject sand we filled the bricks with. Good value!
