These Rebar (metal stakes not plastic) Stakes are exactly what we were looking for. I have a puppy that thinks she is a runner. Every now and then she runs out the front door as fast as she can. I had to find a way to stop her. It took awhile but I finally found a dog fence with a gate that was almost as wide as my front porch (155 inches). It was still 5 inches short so it couldn't be connected to the sides of the house. These stakes were easy to install. They came painted black with sharp points that made it easy to hammer into our rocky dirt. They went in far enough (about 11 inches) to provide stability for the whole fence. We then installed a bungee cord on each side of the fence to connect to the top to my bricks without any drilling into anything. You can't see the J steaks or the bungee cords at all. ... show more

These stakes are great. I keep finding new uses for them. they are long enough and have just enough texture to hold things down in the wind and are strong enough to hold there shape, getting hammered in or being removed.
