The Kayak looked gorgeous. 1 star for the looks. Neighbors were jealous. My son was so excited and wanted it real bad. So once it was put together taken to Lake set next to dock he very cautiously slowly got on top. Holding on to dock while I tried to steady it. He could not even bend his body 1 inch to the right or left it was seriously tippy. Myself and a bystander had to help him out. It says 500 weight capacity, and you can stand in it. Huh-uh;no way! He weighs 260. He had 2 fishing poles a tray only of hooks and a life jacket so...... Very disappointed! ... show more

Great kayak. Came super well packed. No missing parts. While standing in the kayak it felt sturdy for ME and my balance. The fin drive moved the kayak at a decent pace while the rudder aided in pretty accurate turns. HOWEVER, I FEEL THE HANDLE FOR THE RUDDER HAS TOO MUCH EXTRA PLAY THAT DOES NOT ALLOW IT BE ACCURATLY RESPONSIVE...EVEN THOUGH IT IS FULLY ADJUSTED. Nonetheless, the manufactor states that extra play allows for less possibility of damage to cables or the fittings where cables exit kayak. For myself, they need to be able to get tighter. I had previously converted a regular kayak into a fishing kayak. Because of conditions in my area. The river is flowing 3x the rate it usually flows(8700 cfn) I tested twice with 0 issues. Performance was great considering flow rate.

    • Very unstable, very tippy.
Very unstable, very tippy. My wife and I are very experienced kayakers, we were very disappointed. We live on a lake, it was a Christmas present for my wife. Gave it a test Christmas morning, wrapped it up to send it back.

    • Wrong color and week late delivery.
The item was a week late. I wasn’t informed of the change in delivery until we’ll after the delivery window closed. I ended up waiting around with a very excited child and we missed an event as we waited around for the delivery. Then in the delivery notes it says “customer requested a change in delivery date” which is not true. Finally, it’s a different color kayak than I ordered. Very disappointing.
