My first panel received drained my not quite 2y old battery over night. I sent correspondence to the seller and they replaced it in no time after a few questions. So 5 stars for costumer service. I only take off one star because, reading the reviews this seems to be common. AND it was NOT good for my battery to be drained. It kills the life of a lead acid battery. The new one so far has not done so. It appears to be working to keep my battery up. But, only around 11.87. I would like to add that as this thing sits on my dash the silver grid causes a significant glare on the windshield. Be nice if that was black or less visible. ... show more

This unit is a serious upgrade from the 10W model! It is of much sturdier construction, and works in lower-light conditions. One important new feature: the LED is on the face of the board, not on the back, as on the previous model. This means that if you mount it permanently, as I do, you can still easily see the light display, which indicates the panel status.
