I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when a friend recommended this thing. But I figured, with price of batteries, and hassle having to connect the charger constantly, what do I have to lose? So, I got this in and hooked it to my "always on" socket in my truck. Prior that the battery would go dead after a month or month and a half of no use. Now? This keeps the battery topped off at all times. I get in the truck and instead of it being dead, it fires right up. I merely stick it in front of the windshield's sunshade, and make sure it's plugged in. Great value when compared to a dead battery! And when I'm ready to move, just undo the suction cups, unplug the cable, stick the panel under the seat, and be on my way. Easy. Great little panel that works well!

I have a 2014 Prius which can sit for a month before I am back in town. I bought this trickle charger to keep the 12V battery from going dead, like before. I bought an extension cable that runs from the solar charger which sits on the dashboard to the 12V battery in the back of the car. So far, it has kept my battery alive for the past 3 months. 4 weeks is the longest the car has sat without being driven. The car is in Southern California so it gets a fair amount of sun. The picture shows a green light that I saw when I returned, 4 weeks later. The green light means the 12V battery is fully charged. I leave the trickle charger plugged in when I drive, but I take it off the dash because it will easily fly off if the suction cups are not being used. I will have to see if it will continue to keep the battery charged up enough during the winter months when there is less sun. Update: Still working like a gem after 1 year! A corner of the plastic casing has a small crack which doesn't affect the functioning at all. The crack may have developed from the intense heat. The panel can be too hot to touch when it is sitting in the direct sun. So caution there. Alternatively, it might have cracked when I took a corner and it slid off the dash. I have infrequently forgotten to take it off the dash when I drive. I slip the panel into the original box with foam pad that I saved from the shipment. I tucked it against the console at the foot of the passenger side and it is not in the way. I love this set-up.

Works well for my camper when parked for longer periods. Easy to install and not obstructing the front view. Only problem is that it doesn’t stick well to the window. The plastic pads to secure keep coming loose and it falls to the dashboard.

It was easy connect it to my RV battery. I used double sided velcro tape and attached it to the outside of my RV so that it was facing towards the East and it is vertical to prevent snow from covering it. I live in North Dakota and the temperatures during the winter are extreme. I bought this for my 5th Wheel RV as the water and electricity is shut down from October till April. Hoping that this keeps the battery maintained and ready in case I need open up the RV slides in the winter. Seems to be well made, great value for the money if it works as it should. Extremely light weight which made it easy to attach to my RV and the construct of the product appeared to be waterproof. I will post an update if there are any issues.

The media could not be loaded. The plastic edge of the frame around the solar panel cracked and the back of the panel bulged out due to heat, I believe the solar panel might still be working but I would not feel comfortable hooking it up and leaving it inside my car on the dash as it might start a fire inside the car. I leave my car parked at a remote parking lot at the Denver airport. I live in Texas and we use the car whenever we go to our property in the mountains of Colorado. I used the solar panel for about 14 months and it worked well to keep my battery charged. The car sat in the parking lot without use for about 5 months and the battery was still charged. I would have hoped this solar panel to last more than 14 months.

I ordered this and it seems to be a well made product. It comes with suction cups for installation but I used screws that had a wide head to attach it to the side of my shed where I keep one of my lawn tractors that I don't use very often. The battery in that tractor went bad and when I replaced it the clerk at the store said that if I kept a trickle charger on the battery it would last longer. Since there is no power near the shed this seemed like a good option. The indicator light seems to be giving accurate information about charging. I will update in a couple of months and see if it keeps the battery charged.
