I was able to get 14 out of 15 of them installed in the ground. A few of them started to bend, but I wasn't expecting a particularly aesthetic outcome anyway. #15 broke entirely, as pictured. I was using a small rubber mallet and not even hitting it that hard, and I don't even lift. If you're trying to make it look nice and/or don't plan on having extras, you'll want to be very careful. The ones that survived feel plenty sturdy enough to keep our 15 pound dog from escaping under the fence, which is all I really wanted out of these.

If the hooks were about 4 or 5 inches longer they would support the fence so much better. We will have to put up some stakes to support it because the stakes that come with it are so short. Seems like an easy change to make a huge difference.

We have a small elevated garden area in our back yard that’s been an attraction for rabbits. Last year a mommy rabbit decided it was the perfect place to locate her babies. As cute as they are as babies, they’re not so much so when they’re eating our garden. I ordered the green 12 pack of 13” x 19” garden fencing to keep out the rabbits this year. The fencing consists of 14 metal stakes and 12 gridded fencing panels. The boxed product was relatively heavy, so I anticipated the metal fencing would be fairly sturdy. The green color is the same as what’s represented online and will blend well with garden plants. The powder coat finish is coated evenly and professional looking, and should withstand the seasonal weather changes. As easy as it is to install, I foresee we’ll probably pull it up and reset it with each planting season. The stakes are cut to a diagonal point, to make them easier to pound into the ground. The horizontal wires on the fencing pieces extend past the two end vertical wires. Then each end of the horizontal wires is looped around so there’s a hole to line the panels up side by side, and insert a stake down through the holes and into the ground to make a continuous fence. We were not able to put the entire fence up in the area we will be placing it this garden season, but we did put up a few panel to try it out.. The stakes went in fairly easy without needing tools, as we’d just received some moisture and the ground wasn’t completely dry or frozen. The fencing didn’t seem completely solid and sturdy, but will probably be better when the ground’s dry and all the panels are put together. For us, it should definitely keep those pesky rabbits out. As for a larger dog, maybe not. There was only 3.5” - 4” of the stake in the ground, so heavy rains or a wet garden could affect the stability of the fence, but hopefully not enough to knock it down. For myself, I do like that the fencing is short enough for me to step over, but it’s also short enough for cats or larger dogs to hop over pretty easily. Therefore, I can’t really give a wholehearted recommendation for using this as a barrier for cats, larger dogs, squirrels, raccoons and varmints small enough to crawl through the grids. But, If that isn’t your primary concern, or if you’re looking for fencing that’s finished nice for landscaping, then this might be the right setup for you. It is a good quality, nice looking fencing option.
