I ordered the thickest option, 1.3mm, and I am sooo happy with my purchase. I did consider getting a thinner chain, but if it is too fine it would likely break more easily and I wanted to purchase something that would last, so paid a bit more which was well worth it. It is good quality and I am so happy that I got it. The rope sparkles too which I like. I for the 24 inch which was a mistake on my end because its a bit too long and disappears in the cleavage lol. Most of the time when I see a negative review, I admit I assume misuse on the part of the owner, but holy cow. This morning I put the chain on with a very small, lightweight pendant I recently purchased. I noticed that the clasp was kind of too strong. After wearing it while I got ready, I decided I didn't like the length or the chain type for this particular pendant, so I went to take it off and prepare it for a return, and it came off surprisingly easily... THE CLASP WAS COMPLETELY BROKEN. This is a poor design. The strength of the clasp mechanism is too much for how dainty it is, so my best guess is that it breaks very easily as a result. I have small, skinny fingers, and it was tough to use even for me. I had been hoping this would work, since I wanted 10k to match the pendant, but I'll be returning this chain, and purchasing another one from Jewlpire. I have a nice box chain from there that I would have used if the loop had fit through the bail. I recommend anyone seeing this does the same. ... show more

I was tired of my gold plated chains tarnishing after a few weeks, so I figured it was time to invest in a solid gold one. I've been wearing this one every day for about 2 months now and it's still going strong. I've been able to wear it all day — even in the shower — without any sign of wear, which is of course exactly what I hoped and expected from a real gold chain. It is very thin, so I do take care to avoid it being tugged on too hard, but it's been sturdy so far. It's held up through a few accidentally-harder-than-anticipated-yanks without issue. My only gripe about this chain is that the clasp is incredibly teeny tiny. I get that it's a result of how thin the chain itself is, but it's very difficult to open. I've been putting on and taking off necklaces daily for years, and I still struggle for about 5-10 minutes each time I try to put this necklace on. If for any reason you struggle with fine motor control or have trouble holding very tiny things, you may want to look elsewhere. ... show more

I got this to replace the chain on my locket. I ordered the 18” and I’m fairly certain they sent me a 16” but it’s no big deal, it’s a $2 price difference and the original chain was 16”. It is VERY thin and fragile to the touch, which is what I wanted, but I did not expect it to be this thin. It’s not a problem for me because I prefer thinner chains, but if you want something with a bit more substance this isn’t for you. Wouldn’t recommend sleeping in it or wearing it to places like waterparks or anything. The clasp is extremely small and difficult to navigate so I wouldn’t recommend this if you have fine motor skill issues or struggle with small clasps. Other than that it’s beautiful and I’m fairly happy with it, I just wish it was longer and easier to close. ... show more

While delicate as all hell, I've worn it non stop 24/7 since I got it. The clasp is on the small side but I clasped it and haven't had to since. I put a gold James Avery cross on it and haven't looked back. Not a tangle or a kink to be seen. I would buy another without hesitation.
