I purchased this cable for a long run from my surround sound receiver to a ceiling mounted projector and it works flawlessly. Since this cable is designed for one way communication only, make sure you connect it properly. The end marked "display" connects to the display device (projector, TV) and the end marked "source" goes to whatever your output source device is (Blu ray player, stereo receiver, etc), otherwise this cable will not work. There were some reviews which stated the cable did not work. I wondered if in those circumstances it was incorrectly connected.

Excellent cable at a reasonable price. I was skeptical at first I have replaced my non fiber optic 50 foot HDMI multiple times. I kept having connection issues, my projector screen would go black intermittently at random times. This cable fixed my connection issue, functions better than expected, is compatible with my setup, and the cord length is beyond adequate for my needs. I only use it to display video from my AVR so I can't rate the sound quality.

Absolute trash. Plugged in a 17 year old hdmi cable worked, just not long enough. Update: it was my mistake. These are directional cables. The cable works good once plugged in properly.

When I first got this cable, it was a bit thicker than I expected, but also very lightweight and flexible, and the connectors are sturdy and not too large. I ran it from my TV (which supports 4k 144hz) along the wall to my couch (i bought the 50ft cable) so that I could use the TV as a second monitor when using the laptop on the couch. At first, I could only get 4k 60hz, so I thought the cable was faulty. However, when I ordered a different brand, I had the same problem. I figured that my laptop has "HDMI 2.1 TMDS" which is basically HDMI 2.0 and only supports 4k 60hz. I was able to get the full resolution through this cable by purchasing a USB-C to HDMI 2.1 adapter, so that the signal came through the USB-C ports as a DisplayPort signal, and then was converted to the HDMI 2.1 signal. Everything worked perfectly after that, 4k 144hz, 10-bit color. It's pretty cool to see fiber optic technology becoming affordable and integrated into consumer products!

I tried 2 non-optic fiber HDMI cables and the 2.0 version doesn't even allow 4k@120hz, while the 2.1 version allows 4k@120hz but blacks out intermittently, at 20 feet of length. This cable doesn't have any of those problems, and supports 4k@144hz just like that.
