  • Easy to use, anyone should be able to use
Size: 30PCS
Looks better than the old rubberized cord plug. I have not used these yet, but simple install with a screw driver

  • It's a Screw with a Rubber coating.
Size: 60PCS
I saw a video that a motorcycle rider used to describe this screw-in tire plug. His repair had lasted many miles. I decided I would try them based on his recommendation. We keep good tires on our rigs so that the most likely cause of a flat tire is a puncture from a nail, screw, wire etc. that does not damage the tire beyond repair. I've used the repair products that come with a long rubber strand that is pushed into the hole and cemented with glue, and yes, they work in most instances as long as the puncture is not 3-cornered as from a sharp rock. These screw-in tire plugs are intuitive...find the hole, choose a plug size and screw it into the hole and inflate the tire. Check for leaks! (A tire inflator is a good investment if you don't have one...either self-powered or plug into the cigarette lighter socket. Plus it will help maintain your tires at any time.) The plugs are individually encapsulated and one plug was loose in the box. The 'cement' on that screw plug is hard and not sticky. The other plugs are the same. There is a coating on each plug that I take to be an adhesive which is activated as the tire warms up. Never-the-less, recommendations are to apply a sealant to the plug. The sealant is not part of the kit. But it turns out that the plug is little more than a rubber/silicone covered screw. Magnetic? Yes. The coating is thin and slightly sticky. I shaved a few parts of it off to display it. And, it held up when heated with a small torch. It didn't melt, shrink or separate from the screw. A small Phillips screwdriver is the application tool. Obviously, no one needs 100 plugs in their repair kit while on the road. Even the screwdriver could be left at home if another is in the onboard toolkit. Keep a few plugs with the tire inflator. I haven't plugged a tire with one yet but I'm gonna pay more attention to the slow leak in the ATV tire which also has a long rubber strand repair in it. ... show more

  • Great Value... Hopefully Don't Need Them Though
Size: 100PCS
I see these are becoming more popular to plug tires (Overland Companies are now selling them). Full disclosure, I haven't used them yet, and I am used to the sticky gum rubber plugs, but I like the idea of these enough to give them a try if the opportunity presents itself. The gist is simple - you get a puncture, you pop out an appropriate size plug (they come with two sizes) and you take the cross-tip/phillips screwdriver and plug the puncture. The screwdriver is kind of cheap and not what I would consider durable, so I am probably going to pop some of these in a nice carry case or my regular plug kit and put a better screwdriver in there. One thing to remember, if you use a different screwdriver, it would help if you have enough clearance between your wheel-well and tire to use that screwdriver. I am going to still carry the gum rubber plugs and these - these won't plug a cut in the sidewall (and you SHOULD NOT, but if it's a matter of you getting off the trail...), so I will carry both. Overall a great value and worth a shot, just make sure you have what you need to use these. ... show more

  • Good for Quick Repairs
Size: 60PCS
While not a permanent repair by any stretch, this is a pretty handy and VERY portable little emergency kit that would round out your trunk roadside equipment box. Hopefully you have one! These are meant to act as a stopgap for smaller tire punctures, and the idea is pretty great, especially if you have a young driver in the house. A foolproof, rubber-coated screw that you can thread and glue into a tire puncture and make it home. It's really simple: Locate the puncture, screw the plug in using the included screwdriver. HOWEVER: I'd suggest equipping yourself with a slightly larger screwdriver (handle-wise), just to gain better purchase when trying to drive the screw into a tire. It's no easy task, and it'll save frustration of the side of the road. I'd also suggest picking up some vulcanizing tire cement, just to make things set quickly and provide a little extra seal. This is a much simpler repair than the old plug-and-glue type and will probably get you home. With sixty screws, you could drive through a box of nails and probably have enough plugs... So you get some bang for the buck. Again, a slick little item to have in your emergency kit. ... show more

  • Much better than sticky strings—plugged my tire in minutes and it’s holding perfectly!
Size: 100PCS
If you've ever had to deal with a sudden tire puncture, you know how annoying and stressful the repair process can be. I've used the typical emergency repair kits in the past—the ones where you have to struggle with that sticky-rubber string thingy—and honestly, they never really held up or sealed well for me. This repair kit offers a quick and painless tire repair option right when you need it most. Right out of the box, the quality of this kit feels excellent. It comes with a handy screwdriver and a dedicated storage case to keep everything organized. The kit includes 100 pieces of spiral rubber screws split across two different sizes, which is fantastic because it gives you the exact variety you need depending on the size of the puncture hole. I used one of them recently to fix a flat on my wife's Sorento, and the application process was incredibly smooth. I found the size I needed, screwed it into the hole, and plugged the puncture in a matter of minutes. After inflating the tire back up, it sealed flawlessly. It has been holding air perfectly without any issues, and I haven't had to think about it since. For the price, this kit offers incredible, budget-friendly value considering how many pieces you get. It’s highly reliable, super simple in its design, and does exactly what it promises. I now keep a handful of these rubber nails tucked away inside my portable air-pump case. They are just great to have on hand for routine emergency preparation, whether it's for yourself or if you happen to come across someone else on the side of the road who needs a quick plug. Highly recommend! ... show more
