  • Decent light but lacking what seems to be important information
This item came in a very plain looking brown box and without any supporting information in regard to use or safety. It is my understanding that infrared light can be dangerous for the eyes, yet this does not have any warnings of any sort. This makes me wonder if this is actual infrared light, or if the seller just did not insert safety information that probably should have been included. Particularly as the model in the product photo is not using any protective gear for her eyes. A reassurance included with the product that eye protection is not needed, if that is the case, would really be nice and comforting. The light itself is decent- it feels sturdy enough and is bright without being overwhelming. The cord is of a good length that this can be placed where you like easily enough and the stand is a nice touch. For the current price of just under $40, I feel like this is in an average range for an infrared light of this particular size. Although for the price most others seem to come with protective glasses and more information, as well as verification of the light spectrum wavelengths. While not terrible, this could definitely use improvement for the current cost. ... show more

  • No Instructions, Not Safety Focused
This red light therapy panel is pretty middle-of-the-road overall. The actual hardware seems decent for the price. The metal housing feels sturdy, the panel is bright, and the long cord makes it easy to place where you want. I also liked that it can stand on its own or be mounted, and it feels durable enough for regular use. Where this really falls short is the complete lack of instructions or safety information. It arrived in a plain box with little guidance on how far to sit, how long to use it, or whether eye protection is recommended. Since this uses near-infrared light, that felt like a pretty big oversight. I was honestly surprised there weren’t even basic warnings included, especially considering how bright the LEDs are. The device itself works fine and seems reasonably well-made, but I had to spend extra time researching safe usage online before feeling comfortable using it. For around $40, I think it’s acceptable but not exceptional. Other similar panels seem to include protective glasses, better documentation, and more details about the actual wavelengths being used. Overall, it’s not a terrible product, but it’s also not something I’d strongly recommend without reservations. If you already know how to use red light therapy devices, this will probably do the job. Beginners may find the lack of instructions frustrating. ... show more

  • Sturdy inexpensive alternative to expensive masks but zero information included.
I bought this red light therapy panel to try out at home, and the device itself feels like it is made of good quality materials. The metal housing is sturdy and it has a decent weight to it, so I don't worry about it breaking easily. The light is very bright and the panel is a nice size for covering a good portion of my face or my arm at once. It also comes with a long power cord, which is helpful because I don't have to sit right on top of an outlet to use it. I am only giving it 3 stars because it arrived with almost no helpful information. There were no instructions included about how long I should actually leave the light on or how far away I need to stand for it to be effective. It is also incredibly bright, and I was surprised that it didn't come with any kind of eye protection. There weren't even any safety warnings about looking directly into the LEDs, which seems like a big oversight for something this powerful. For the price, the hardware seems fine, but I had to spend a lot of time looking up safety tips online before I felt comfortable turning it on. The panel is easy to wipe clean with a dry cloth, and the hanging features are a nice touch if you want to put it on a wall. It is a useful tool if you already know what you are doing, but I wish the company had included the basic safety and usage details to make it easier for a beginner to use it safely. ... show more

  • Bright Red Light, But the Lack of Safety Info Is a Big Red Flag
This is a decent red light option in terms of output. The light is bright and the LED board itself looks well-made. And it is small and light, so the size and weight make it available to multiple mounting options. If you’re judging it purely as a lamp that turns on and produces red light, it does that part well. That said, the arm/bracket feels flimsy. It bends way too easily and doesn’t inspire confidence that it’ll hold position long-term or survive being bumped. It works, but it feels like the weak link in the whole setup. The biggest concern though isn’t the bracket — it’s the complete lack of instructions or warnings. It arrived as “just a lamp.” No safety guidance, no best practices, no usage distance/time suggestions, no eye warnings… nothing. For something that shines a strong light and is often used close to the body/face, that’s worrying and the vendor really needs to fix it. Why I docked stars No instructions or safety warnings included (major issue) Flimsy arm/bracket that doesn’t feel durable Bottom line (Would I recommend it?) Not as-is. The light output is good, but the missing documentation is a serious oversight and the arm is too flimsy for the price/intent. 2 stars. If it came with proper literature and safety guidance, it could be a 4-star product — and if the bracket/arm were sturdier, it could be a 5-star. ... show more

  • Good value for an at home red light device
This 100W red light therapy panel is impressive. The 660nm near-infrared lights feel strong and the 144 beads cover a good area. I’ve been using it on my face and body a few times a week and notice my skin looks a bit brighter and calmer already. It’s easy to set up and the timer function is convenient. Solid build quality and comes with everything needed. Great at-home device for the price. ... show more

  • Powerful & Versatile, But Zero Safety Guidance
I ordered the SHKIBY 100W Red Light Therapy panel (660nm/Near-Infrared) as a cost-effective alternative to frequent, expensive spa sessions. While the panel offers solid, hands-free functionality for at-home wellness, my experience is heavily tempered by a total lack of essential documentation. PROS -Sturdy and User-Friendly -Build Quality: The construction feels durable, combining glass and aluminum, yet it remains lightweight. -It stands reliably on its built-in stand and hangs securely. -Convenience: There is zero assembly required. -It features a convenient on/off switch on the cord, and the 59” cord allows for flexible placement without being tethered to a wall. Mindfulness Integration: I’ve integrated this into my nightly 10-minute mindfulness and gratitude journal routine. Because it's hands-free, I can sit it on my headboard or a table and relax. Cons: -Missing Essentials -No Power Block: While the cord is long, you must supply your own USB power plug/wall brick to use it. -Total Lack of Instructions: This is my biggest concern. The device arrived in plain packaging with absolutely no guidance on frequency, distance, or duration. Safety Risk: There is no mention of eye protection or safety guidelines. For a high-powered 144-bead LED device used near the face, the lack of information on eye coverings or contraindications is a significant oversight for a health-related product. Aesthetic: While sturdy, the overall look is more "basic" than "high-end." Final Thoughts & Safety Note The device performs well and provides a pleasant glow, but I am not thrilled with the manufacturer's lack of safety transparency. I highly recommend consulting a professional before use. I am only using this under the specific guidance of my dermatologist (10 minutes, 5 days a week). If you are new to red light therapy, the lack of a manual makes for a steep and potentially confusing learning curve. ... show more

  • Basic but works
As someone who uses red light therapy on a regular basis, I was curious to try this since I don't have a single red light panel like this one. My first impression of this is that it's very basic. It plugs into a USB, and it has an on and off switch. That's about it. Pretty simple to use. You turn it on and turn it off when you are done. Being that there is no timer or anything with this device, I feel it should have come with some instructions. Yes, it's basic, turn it on, turn it off. However, if you have never used red light therapy, an instruction manual with recommended uses and how long to use it would have been nice. Rarely do you just receive a device with no instructions, literally just the red light panel in a box. Nothing else. For this reason, I feel it comes across as cheap and very basic. The device does work well, and it's nice that it's different from my current red light devices. I tend to use this smaller device on my knees if they are aching after a long walk or run. I like that there is a metal hinge stand that you can use to prop it up or hang it from something. All in all I do think this is a good product but it could be alot better if they had put a little more effort into making sure you knew how to use the product you received. ... show more

  • Don't recommend
I was really disappointed with this red light therapy device. Despite claiming to be 100W and high power, it doesn’t seem to deliver the results I expected. The light feels weak and the coverage isn’t as broad as I thought it would be. The build quality also feels cheap, and the beads don’t seem to be evenly distributed. Additionally difficult to position comfortably. For the price, I expected much better performance and durability. Overall, not worth the investment, and I wouldn’t recommend it. ... show more
