  • Great quality at a good price point
Size: 100M/328ft Color: LC-LC
I've used 6 of these so far and they work great. They're thin enough to pull just about anywhere but durable enough to stay intact. These are now my go-to long premade patch cables.

  • Worked well
Size: 75M/245ft Color: LC-LC
My concern is for the durability, they work great and claim to be armored, but I think a rabbit could bite the cable in half. It is smaller than one side of standard lamp cord. We have this one plus a 75m run installed, and to prevent animals from tripping on it or eating it (it runs through the woods), we buried it about 2 inches deep. Will update the review later on the result of this. The instructions say not to bury it but I think it is more likely to be damaged by deer kicking it or chipmunks gnawing it, than by being slightly buried. ... show more

  • Good Cable
Size: 100M/328ft Color: LC-LC
I purchased the 100M LC-LC single mode patch cable to run between the house and the barn. This is rated "outdoor" but direct bury is not recommended so a of run 3/4" conduit 240' underground is was needed- a pain but now done. I thought I used enough "snot" in the pipe as I was making the joints and the fact it was a straight run with no elbows lead me to believe I could pull the full 240' at once. This was not to be as after about 100' it became hard to pull. I would guess it was in the 20 lb range. Not knowing how tough the thin cable was I stopped. Fortunately I had put pull boxes at 80' spacing so I was able to pull in 80' sections which was tedious but easier. The outer sheath of this cable is a rubber like material which apparently has pretty high friction against he pipe. So a word to the wise: Over use the pipe lubricant and leave access points. Another step that we took was to uncoil the fiber and rewind it on a spool so as to prevent it from getting tangled while pulling. The spool was free wheeling so that did not contribute to the difficulty pulling. For a pulling eye, we used this from Amazon: FiberCablesDirect - SimpleGrip Fiber Pulling Eye Hook, about $12.00 which worked really well. Advise that you keep the little plastic caps for the fiber ends in case you need to secure the end for relocation or other reasons. Bottom line: When I was all done it linked. ... show more

  • Not too bad
Size: 30M/100ft Color: LC-LC
I purchased this fiber cable for a project I was doing at home. When I received the cable it was in a neat and clean package. I ran the fiber through the walls and such to a media converter and a fiber switch. From what I have seen so far, it seems to be holding up pretty well. I ran several internal lan tests from the fiber converter and the speeds I have seen are on par with what I would expect from this cable. This cable will work on MMF SFP if you are using ubiquiti gear. (I use ubiquiti gear at home). Overall its not too bad. ... show more

  • Perfect fit and finish, works great at 1 Gbps (tested). Good value for the money.
Size: 75M/245ft Color: LC-LC
Purchased this for a network connection between our house and pole barn, approximately 75 feet away. Tested the fiber with between two switches using HP X120 LC/LX 1310nm SFP modules and experienced no errors. Buried the cable in 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC, and has been running without error for a month now. The cable says "direct burial" in the description, but the jacket on the cable is very thin. I would ensure that the fiber has a smooth sand base and backfill around it if burying directly - I felt better using PVC conduit to ensure physical protection from crushing damage. Nicely terminated ends, polish looked good under 10x magnification, and connectors hold securely. Good value for the money. ... show more

  • A note to the novices like me
Size: 40M/130ft Color: LC-LC
I bought 40m length of this to run from my home to an outbuilding. I paired it with these converters from 10Gtek https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BYN83SL?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 and all is working well. This is my first experience with fiber optics and my first lesson learned was that you need to reverse the A&B lines on one end to make this work. The lines will snap out of the dual connector clip and can be snapped in in reverse. Essentially you need a crossover cable for this converter. I buried this stuff in a shallow grave for about 50 feet across my back yard. Some Q&A I read on here says direct burial is not recommended. It is also ran it for about 25 feet under my deck and 25 feet under the outbuilding. We shall see how long it lasts! The cable is very small, maybe 3/16th of an inch in diameter and for what it is worth can be run (including the "Y" and ends) through a 1/2 inch PVC pipe which I used for a riser on each end. ... show more

  • Awesome Fiber. My new choice for cheap fiber
Size: 150M/492ft Color: LC-LC
I took a chance with this fiber. Wasn't sure it was going to work after reading some of the reviews. I bought 2 pieces. A 15 meter for testing and a 150m (492ft) for one of my customers. The fiber is well made for the price. My test piece I scraped the insulation away and found kevlar and what appears to be a stainless steel coil for armor protection. For my customer we ran this fiber up a tree, over the road, down another tree and through the woods. Yes we really did this. Then pulled it through 125 feet of 3/4" conduit. We did NOT use lube in the conduit. Had no problem at all pulling it. This is my new goto cheap fiber. So far very happy with it. Update-Bought another 100m meter section. Installed a pulling eye from another piece of fiber. Had no problem pulling 200ft through Raindrip 061050 5/8X500 Poly Drip Tubing, 5/8" (bought on amazon). Again no lube required. Just make sure the tubing is perfectly straight when doing this. ... show more

  • Good quality
Size: 30M/100ft Color: LC-LC
I buried this in 40ft of 3/4 inch flexible conduit and ran it through my house. The wire has a soft but grippy insulation so don’t try to pull this through on your own. Instead use a shop vac vacuum to pull a long piece of string through, tie the string just behind the plastic splitter near the ends, and then have one person gently pull on the string while the other person pushes it through. It should take almost no effort. ... show more
