For a normal width door opening, 2 of these are perfect. Any more and they might look too scrunched or heavy at the top and be hard to push aside, which is what I plan to do in the evening as this doorway goes into the master bath area. I do not want to install a hook on our beautiful woodwork to 'hang' them off to one side. These are more beautiful than I thought they'd be. They have a sheeny sparkle to them, but are not gaudy looking. When first opening the package, I thought the beads were rather cheap looking, but once hung they look fine. Yes, the beads are lightweight plastic, but that way they don't add too much weight for the rod. When the light is not on in the room behind the curtain, they provide just enough coverage without being overwhelming to where they seem like a total coverage curtain. Care is taken to ribbon tie together the beaded strands so they don't get hopelessly tangled in shipping. The price is also wonderful! Very glad I bought these. ... show more

I sadly went by picture more than description. The way it's bunched in the pic it looks bulkier than what it is. Totally my fault, description clearly states string. And that it is. This is very thin and barely there. So just wanting to save someone else that goes by pic.
