Quite a bit stiffer than quilt weight fabrics but will work for a lap throw I purchased this for. Washed in hot water and dried in the drier to see of that would soften it up. I haven't measured it yet to see how much it might have shrunk but I bought more than needed and will check after ironing it. Minimal raveling. This fabric is great for charity throws I make, usually 45 × 55ish. No need to piece the back. Light gray has a very slight blue tint so is pleasant. Red did lose some dye but colorfast now. Good find for needs. Nice drape and weight for florida quilts
