The most positive is the comfort and softness. However, I got the Queen size and the sides just won't reach enough to go under both sides of my mattress, which is only 9" deep. Also, keep an eye on your washer, as mine got really out of balance on the spin cycle, as they are so heavy. LOTS of fluff left in dryer, but this will no doubt get less over time.

These sheets are truly very comfortable and cozy! Their quality is superb! The elastic is very tight and high quality! HOWEVER, regarding this particular pattern and color - WASH THEM THUROUIGHLY in HOT WATER! My partner and I began seeing a change in skin color on our hands, faces, legs, feet, AND scalps! We thought WHAT ARE WE EATING that would do this, but that was not it. The DYE in the sheets was bleeding off and sticking on us!! A LOT of dye was released from these sheets and even after two washes in HOT water, they were/are still coming off! Again, superior quality and highly recommended but unless you want to be a Smurf, WASH these sheets several times before using them!

The sheets are comfortable and soft. The fit is very snug after being washed in hot water and the depth of our mattress is 11". They are advertised as fitting up to 17" in depth. but I have to really tug to make the bed.

You know how some flannel sheets produce a huge amount of lint when you take them out of the dryer the first time? These did not, they really only generated a minor amount of lint. They are extremely soft and while I've only used them a few times, I haven't noticed any pilling or roughness. Very happy with these.

Update: I contacted the company after writing my review. They immediately sent me a replacement set of sheets for both sizes that I ordered (even though I had only opened, washed and tried the full size bed sheet set). I changed the rating from 1 star to 2 since the company immediately responded and sent out 2 additional sets. Here's to hoping we don't struggle again with the shrinking, pilling, and holes! I am impressed with the company and their fast response and offer to send us replacement sheets immediately (whether we returned the original sets, or not). I purchased this brand of flannel sheets last year as a Xmas gift. Because the recipients were pleased with the sheets, I bought another set for them this week and added a set for my son as he currently has only one set of flannel sheets. The items were as expected/pictured, and showed up SUPER fast. My son was so excited, that we washed them to put on his bed last evening. For "pre-shrunk", "no pill", and "deep pocket" sheets, these did NOT live up to the description. :( I washed the sheets by themselves, no bleach on the setting for sheets which is a hot wash and cold rinse. The fitted sheet is now too small for an 8" deep mattress. There's a hole in one of the corners/pockets, AND, they've pilled up. I'm very disappointed and returning both sets. Now I'm back to the drawing board on a Xmas gift idea.

I love these flannel sheets so much! (I purchased the beige/grey buffalo print- cali king) They washed very well- no color bleeding and no shrinkage like some other reviews stated. I live in VT and these are perfect to sleep on right now.

I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews and I washed them immediately as some had suggested. These fit my Sleep Number Cal King fine and they are not too heavy and probably considered a little more on the Light to medium warmth level so for myself they are near perfect.

Getting ready for winter cold, we bought these flannel sheets to sleep on warm, soft sheets. They meet those two desires. We have a thick memory foam mattress and the fit of these could be a little better for that. Otherwise, exactly what we wanted.
