  • Wonderful Product - Use for Burial Shrouds for My Beloved Pets
Very good quality cotton muslin cloth. Honestly, I use these to create a burial shroud as part of giving my dogs a green burial out on our land when they pass. Personally, I allow my pets to lay "in state" in their normal dog beds for up to 24 hours after they pass. It is very healing and allows time for humans and other 4-legged family members to understand what is happening. Yes, there are some things to be mindful of after a pet (or person) passes in terms of fluids, etc. It's not a big deal and is a matter of reverence to take care of such things. After so many pets, I'm getting rather good at this process. I keep their bodies cool (have never had any issue), take care to clean their bodies, spend time with them, and adorn them with flowers that I get from our yard. When it it time for burial, I simply pull out any ice packs (big Yeti ones are amazingly good for this), blankets, pillows, or towels I used in a concealed way to manage the process effectively. I may use them to conceal the ice packs and to support their bodies in a position that allows them to appear as peaceful and sleeping as possible in their beds. Then I pull the shroud around the bodies and gently tie everything using other strips of cloth, ribbons, rope, whatever I have handy that looks beautiful. Then I take those flowers I picked for them and we sprinkle them on the top of their burial site before we place the dirt back on top. Then we plant beautiful plants over the top and their bodies provide wonderful nourishment for what ends up being a beautiful and sacred space with lovely plants and flowers, special reminders of our pets, and something to enjoy for years to come. I hope somebody who needs to see this will. Our society is now conditioned to rush through burial or cremation nearly immediately after a passing. It is simply not necessary, it is not how things used to be in earlier times, and doing so eliminates the possibility of a more complete grieving and healing process by being able to process slowly and say goodbye with such great care when we are able to do so (I understand sometimes this is not possible or practical). Many people have to cremate their pets, and I still think giving time for this process in advance of a cremation is a wonderfully healing experience. Blessings to whomever needs to see this. ... show more

  • I purchased muslin for curtain backing.
I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness and quality of this material! Very heavy and perfect for curtain backing. I believe this material will last for many years. And I would definitely purchase more from this seller! BTW the pricing was cheap for such a stellar product.

  • Beautiful Muslin
Excellent material for cloth book covers. Takes gesso and paints well. Tough and sturdy. Easy to cut. Best I have found online.

  • Soft well made muslin
this is very nice muslin. I need to make prototype dress before spending price on more expensive fabric, it'll be just perfect.

  • Basic Material
Used this to make canvases; good quality fabric; found only one slight flaw in the weave.
