    • Remember: THESE ARE WATERCOLOR MARKERS
Color: 100 Colors
So many reviewers are expecting these to be cheaper versions of professional markers, like Copic. These are NOT alcohol based professional markers. These are watercolor markers that should be used on watercolor paper. Or at the very least, a sketchbook or bullet journal with heavy paper stock. The markers are MUCH better than I expected for the price. However, the carry case will last about a week, if that. But the markers are ... watercolor markers. They blend nicely (if you're using the proper paper vis watercolor paper). If you use standard pen and ink sketchbook paper, your blending of these markers will create *pilling*, which never looks good. Having been drawing and painting and mostly sketchbooking (although I was a professional celebrity portrait photographer as a business in NYC), and having gone to art school and tried so many different markers in the past 50 years, here's what I'll say: If you want the best, buy Copic. If your looking for markers that adults and children can enjoy, with no safety issues, these are fine! Remember, you're buying WATER BASED MARKERS here. Many people are saying you cannot blend: again, yes you can. Just use watercolor paper in a sketchbook that states it's for watercolors, or a watercolor pad, or just use a Moleskine (or equivalent) marker journal and don't blend blend blend until the first coat of marker is dry. And don't forgot you CAN use a wet watercolor brush (I should say a "damp" watercolor brush) to blend anything you want super blended together after it's dry. Or. Use a watercolor brush that's almost fully loaded with water (not too much!) and watch the clear water blend in and create interesting bursts of color where you've already laid down some of these markers. Lastly, for the price... come on. They're fine. They're wonderful. They're NOT alcohol, permanent markers, but that's in the description. I am happy that there's a blank color chart to be filled in by the recipient of this set-- I love that it's not pre- printed. We get to record the *actual* colors as we use them. For the price, you get what you pay for; And I think this is a wonderful set of markers--the colors on the marker caps are close to the actual color, in most cases. Great for kids, adults, and anyone in between who wants inexpensive watercolor markers to express themselves through art. In conclusion: • cheap carrying case • excellent watercolor markers in this price point ... show more

100 varied colored pens in a very sturdy and well organized case. All are numbered with a blank color card to do your own color chart. Tips are clean with good points for fine detail. The water colors are transparent but can be used to shade for detail and depth. One draw-back is there are several "so-called" varied shades in one color but look so similar to each other on the color chart that it almost seems a waste when there are other colors that I specifically look for that they do not have. It seems with 100 pens, the varied colors with varied shades would be easy to make even more varied than several that seem to duplicate themselves. ... show more

I am new to coloring with markers. I had been using markers I had purchased for the kids and need more colors. I absolutely love these. Great variety of colors. They are smooth to use and the fine point on the other end is very convenient. The case is durable and it includes replacement tips. The only down side is no names of the colors or number on the markers. It comes with a numbered chart that you fill in the color but you have to keep the markers in order in the case or the chart is useless. Coordinating numbers on the markers would be helpful.
