I'll start off by saying that thee curtains are, indeed 100% blackout. I hung them them in a south-facing bay window and they work perfectly. We live in the desert where temperatures get up to 123 degrees. These help keep the room a little cooler but we also had our windows tinted which helped even more. I'm only providing that information to give you an idea. If you lived in an area that doesn't get as hot you may notice it has a minor cooling effect. These curtains will need to be ironed and you'll need to put some vigorous effort into this step to make them lay flat. I used a very hot setting with lots of steam and went through a lot of water to press out the wrinkles but it still wasn't 100%. However, that won't matter because, thankfully, in a week or two they seem to work themselves out and you'll have a wrinkle free curtain. I'm actually a bit shocked by some of the glowing reviews by people here who just tore it out of the packaging and slapped it up on a curtain rod. Most of these reviews are favorable but they almost deterred me from actually buying these curtains because I think what I see in quite a few of the photos looks horrible. So I wanted to provide my own review of what you can do to make these look really great. I put a large bath towel down on my kitchen island and used that as my surface to iron these flat. As you can see from my photos I have a pretty large bay window. The approximate measurements are 72" wide for the middle window and 34" inches each for the side windows. One pair worked well for the side windows but I used two pairs and doubled up for the center window to keep the ruffled texture consistent whether opened or closed. So I have a total of eight panels hung on three windows and am very pleased with the overall appearance. In order to close up all the gaps between panels (which I can't stand to see) I purchased this item recently and pressed it in place along the sides of all panels that I wanted to eliminate gaps from: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B092ZCHRDD?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 So far it's working very well but it's only been a few days. You'll also see that I used curtain rings to hang these curtains. I wanted a more high-end look by using curtain rings but instead of using the clips that clamp onto the curtain itself I bought some Stitch Witchery (also sold on amazon) and permanently ironed on curtain tape along the top edge so that I could install hooks to attach to the rings. You can see that in one of my photos. Everything hangs very nicely and I'm very happy with how it came out. I'm very happy with the end result. We love the blue color a LOT. It's hard to describe the color. It's a tad bit deeper and richer than a robin egg blue. I was a bit skeptical before buying thinking it might look like blue jean fabric but the visible tweed like texture to the fabric makes it look a lot more high end. We may buy more curtains in other colors if they work with our color schemes in other rooms. I highly recommend these.

I ordered 2 sets in beige and don't really mind that it's a cool tone. I am extremely happy with the quality of my purchase! These are heavyweight, soft fabric, true blackout curtains. No rod pocket issues as other reviews have indicated. Photo was taken of my south facing window on a bright morning. My upstairs bedroom gets super hot in the summer and my previous "blackout curtains" from Target were not helping me out. I only regret not buying these curtains sooner!

Overall - love! The first photo is from February when I initially hung them up and the second photo is two months later. I let the wrinkles fall out a bit after hanging and then used my steamer to get out the tough wrinkles. Beautiful color and 100% blackout! The material isn’t “flowy” and feels more structured. My top priority was the fabric color and being 100% blackout so I don’t mind the material! My large windows let in a lot of sun and heat on the hotter days so 10/10 sunny windows approved.

These are definitely "blackout" curtains, just note they are heavy for there size so make sure your curtain rod is sturdy. I did wash them before hanging (dried on delicate cycle) they washed and dried very nice, no wrinkles at all, they cost a little more than other brands I have bought but they are VERY well made, (and if your wondering the lining on back is a grey)

I purchased 4 sets! These are truly blackout curtains. Everyone in my household has noticed the significant difference in temperature these curtains have made in our downstairs during warmer days. We love them! I added ikea back tabs for easier opening and closing. Highly recommend!!

If you are a light sensitive person like me, these are perfect! Very dark unlike some. Blocks every bit of light in bedroom. Nice weave-like texture. Purchased dark grey, nice color to go with bedding. I did pair them with a light blocking shade that was existing. Bedroom so dark I need to turn on a light to get around with stubbing my toes. 😄

Pictures shown are @ 6:30 am. One with flash on & one without. The overall quality is satisfactory. Blacks light out well. But material is stiffer than I’d prefer in a curtain. Wish it came with either hooks or in ring form because sliding it across the curtain rod to open or close is a pain. More light comes through sides & top than my other curtains Because it’s so stiff & doesn’t hold the folds/pleats well when hung, It’s like hanging a sheet of cardboard at your window. Blacks light out straight on but let’s light in at the top & sides. Despite my issues with it, it does the job which is black most of the light out.
