    • Inexpensive ceramic plates
Style: Round Size: 10.5" Dinner
These are slightly off white dinner plates without any embellishments. Some of the plates have minor imperfections where the glaze is thicker in some areas, or the edge of the plate is slightly "warped" which is noticeable only when stacked. These are expected variations in ceramic products at this price point. They are about one third the price of similar plates at pottery barn. The label on the bottom of the plate is part of the glaze and has slight imprinted or embossed (can't tell which) feel. It is not a sticker. The plates were packed with recyclable cardboard between each (not bubble wrap) and arrived without any breaks or chips. Pros: - Microwave, dishwasher, and conventional oven safe (which is surprisingly useful). - Deeper than some ceramic/glass dollar store dinnerware (less chance of spilling sauces) - Inexpensive enough that breakage shouldn't ruin an event. Cons - Ceramic is not impact resistant while other materials like melamine/plastics can take more abuse Melamine is frequently seen in the dollar stores and isles of shame in lidl/aldi. These are neither microwave nor oven safe. The only advantage of the melamine is that it usually won't break if dropped, and some have cute designs that are OK for cold/dessert use. ... show more

Wanted some new everyday dinner plates in white. These fit the bill. Nice and big and the white is easy to make a nice presentation of the meal. One plate was broken on arrival but it was to much work to bother reporting that to the company. I would buy them again. They have stood up with the dishwasher and also my husband loves to hand wash dishes but is not real careful so far he hasn’t broken any even though he dropped a few now and then. Plates are very good quality, but they aren’t really pure white nor Bright white. I posted it a picture of a real pure white plate next to it to point out the difference. What a shame because otherwise they would be perfect.

Great deal on exactly what I wanted. White plates. The negative reviews didn’t bother me because let’s face it- you cover plates with food! Who looks at the plate? No one. They see the edge of a plate with food on it! No kind person that appreciates your company and effort cooking for them would critique dishes. If they examine the plates for blemishes etc what else are they picking apart in your home? I could not tell you the quality, design, thickness, or if plates were blemish-free at Michelin Star dining establishments I’ve enjoyed. Who cares? The food is what the focus is on. Great price. In an effort to have a lot of plates on hand for holidays and events I was looking for an inexpensive option. These are perfect for those needs. They are not fine china but that's not the purpose for these. These are the plates you can use daily, or present to large groups, and if/when someone breaks one you're like,, that's ok, here's another one. I made the mistake of ordering "bamboo" plates before these and they arrived looking more like plastic (which I think they probably were) and left knife marks every time someone used them. These won't leave knife cuts/marks, are easy to clean, are simple, and not too thick or thin. ... show more
