For one, they really needed pointed ends to get into any type of dirt other than really soft garden soil. Two, hooking the fence portions is not terribly easy. My dog definitely still figure out a way through it. But it does look nice.

Yes, it's for gardening but I would not recommend it for anything more than a small puppy. It's flimsy and without sturdiness. If you want protection for your puppy from larger predator agressors (animals), this is not it.
