I did not use the clip and place the side by side but rather spread them out - it's a big area coving the entire front of my house and it would get expensive to do it all close together. The first order I received was missing a piece of fence. I contacted the company and they replied instantly, telling me they would send me a piece of fence. 3 weeks later I contacted the company and again got a very fast reply. They checked their records and verified they has sent the piece of fence but they would either refund my money or send me another one instantly, and to make up for the issues they would send me extra fence. The fence is so great that I chose to wait for the fence. Next I got notice from the company that my package was evidently lost. When I got this note they had already refunded my money. I didn't buy this for around my garden or plants. I used it in front of my small apartment patio. It opens into an area with 2 side walls and a back wall. I have a problem with squirrels. They seem to want to play around on my tiny patio. I even had a few that would jump up and attach themselves to my patio screen. I did go to Home Depot and buy cheap white picket fence sections. But they didn't work because the space between the pickets were too far apart and the squirrels would just squeeze through them. Besides that, over time the fence got dirty from the weather and it looked awful and very cheap. So I needed something else that wasn't too expensive. So I found these sections. It was a set of 10 which measured approximately 10 feet when put together. And the front of my patio was about 10 feet. I was thrilled that I wouldn't have to cut to fit or buy extra. I was excited to put them together. It was a little frustrating putting the clamps into place, but it was worth it. I did have a small space left after I was done, so I bought a couple small fence posts to fill in the gap. When I looked at it, I thought the section spaces might still be too wide so I used black zip ties to put between the spaces. That really did the trick. It prevented the squirrels from squeezing through them. So far so good. I like that these are rustproof and not too high. I can walk over them safely. So what was really meant to protect garden's and plants, I found to be useful in protecting my private space. ... show more

These are better than I expected. Such a great price for 20. They are very sturdy and did not break after hammering. We’re super easy to install. Used mine to prevent my small puppy from escaping. Could be used for many things so very versatile. Very impressed and ordering more!

It does work really well to use as a plant growing holder, my cucumbers and watermelons are cloning them nicely, it also was very useful on keeping my dogs out of a patch of grass I was trying to grow. However it did not keep any bunnies out of my veggies, so if you're trying to use this as a barrier to keep pests from eating your stuff this isn't your product. I bought them to put around my bushes around the pool area. The soil is sandy(FL) and I have animals digging holes and I thought this would discourage them. Being elderly I I don't have the strenght to put the hooks on . I guess I will invest in some black tie straps. Other than that, I think the fencing is quite nice. ... show more

Our 75lb German Shephard has two neighbors he lobes to talk to by digging underneath the fence. We recently put this barrier on two separate spots. It has detered him so far. We were surprised he did not attempt to pull it out. So far so good
