    • Could be a solution for a sofa bed frame/sofa frame gap that makes cushions sag

I don’t really have a sagging sofa, my cushions sag because there is a gap between the front and back of the sofa where the sofa bed mattress frame sits. This mattress frame is an inch below the front of the sofa frame. The cushion sits on the front frame of the sofa , then sags down to sit on the mattress frame. I measured the depth gap between the front sofa frame and the mattress frame (1 inch). I cut to fit the seating area length, tucked it under the back (my back cushions are removable) , and tucked under the sides and front of the sofa frame. Because it is tucked in it doesn’t move. And the cushion sits exactly where it did before on top of the front sofa frame, so no change in looks. Now the seats are wonderful, firm, but not hard. So comfortable. This foam is high density and is rated high on compression. It’s cheap enough to replace every 2-3 years, if necessary. I hope it holds up that long-or longer. ... show more

Although I was initially upset trying to open the vacuum-sealed product which reduced a 1" X 24" X 84" pad to a 6" X 8" X 5" barrel wrapped heavily in plastic, the truth is it works perfectly for my need of shoring up a couch. Where I was constantly having to push the cushions back in daily, this foam padding eliminated the need to do that, and I'm very satisfied with the product. Shipping would otherwise be a bigger problem for the seller, so I regret my initial comments, and am here to say, :"terrific product," and thank you, from a happy customer. ... show more

I love this foam, it has transformed my sofa. 10 Stars! My sofa is 10 years old and I knew it needed replaced, but it was quite expensive and I still loved the style. After visiting multiple stores and hearing the order and shipping delay could be 3-4 months, I decided to restuff my current cushions while I waited for a new one. The foam arrived so quickly I got it before I could get back to the furniture store, and I'm so lucky it did. We washed the upholstery and cut the foam into 3 equal pieces. Then I took the old quilt batting that was in the original cushion, wrapped it around this new foam and inserted it into the clean upholstery. It sits better than the day it was delivered 10 years ago. This foam is dense, firm, and so comfortable. I prefer a firm cushion, both my partner and I are heavy, and this foam is incredibly supportive. It assists us in getting up off the couch because we aren't sunk down in it. I have no plans of ordering a new sofa. I think this will last for many years, I would purchase and replace again before furniture shopping. ... show more

I get variable sizes and thicknesses, and use it for everything from boat seats, golf cart seats, to even custom pet beds.! It's easy to cut to the needed size and shape. It's durable enough for pet beds, and to use on golf cart seats, that sit outside in the weather. Seems like it doesn't soak in water, and dries out quickly.
