Many vitamins and supplements are now missing the silica packet to keep them fresh. This are great, do de job, and very inexpensive, I use them in some spices too so they don’t clump after I open them. Would buy again.

I bought these for a specific storage need, but fell in love with their size and convenience. They are small enough to fit in small containers, but large enough not to easily fall out. I throw one in with my spices and herb containers. I use one in my vitamin and supplement bottles and that really helps keep soft-gels from that stickiness they can get. I buy some things in bulk, like crystallized ginger and throw a couple of these in the smaller packages that I separate it into. These go a long way for when it comes to just protecting your stuff from the negative effects of moisture and high humidity. When refilling a container of a powder, these shake off the old powder easily without breaking. I did do some research into accidental ingestion, as they are also being used in long term bulk storage of stuff like sugar, and they are safer than I expected I was surprised to learn that they can be recharged in the microwave. This makes then even even better deal that I thought originally. Microwaving them seems to be a limited number of times, as they did harden some, shrink a little and change color. I think I will have to experiment with a shorter time than suggested. They are a fantastic value at a good cost.
