    • I'd give 2.5 Stars if it was an option
Before buying the 3" and 2" brush set, I read other reviews that mentioned the problem with loose bristles on this 3" brush, but my choices were either this one or another one that is twice as expensive (but appears to be far better quality). I went with this one solely based on cost and I used this 3" brush for a large-scale stencil wall project (tried using the 2" one that came with it for tight corners but the bristles are so flimsy and uneven that it's basically useless). This brush significantly slowed my progress because I had to pick bristles off the wall where I painted and dig them out of the tray holding the loading paint. This brush sheds like a German Shepherd in spring. So frustrating. I gave it 3 stars since 2.5 stars isn't an option and it deserves that 2.5 stars because the 3" brush is densely bristled and it did get the job done. But it made the job take longer, it made it harder, and it made it more tedious than it should've been. If I had it to do again, I'd spend the extra $$ and buy the better brush. ... show more

    • Sheds bristles
I bought this to use to apply wax to a chalk paint project. It sheds bristles, making it worthless. I imagine it would be a real pain to use it for painting. I will be throwing it away.
