This review is for "OULEME 1.5/3.5 LB Folding Grapnel Anchor Kit with 40 FT Rope & Buoy, for Boat, Kayak, Canoe, Small Watercraft, SUP, PWC, Jet Ski, Inflatable Paddle Board", OULEME Model Name ‎Kayak Anchor Kit 3.5lb, Orange (ASIN B0GQSRS2Q3). Title and ASIN are included in the review because sometimes reviews get re-sorted and are no longer associated with the correct product. The OULEME Anchor Kit shipped quickly and was packaged in a carboard box. Within the shipping box, the anchor kit arrived retail packaged in another brown cardboard box, surrounded by filler paper to reduce transit damage. Inside the box was the anchor with the rope already tied on to the bottom of the anchor, and then the rope is zip tied at the top. The opposite end of the rope is tied to a locking carabiner, and there is a buoy near the carabiner end. This should prevent loss of the anchor if one accidentally drops the carabiner in the water. Finally, there is a carry bag which holds everything nicely. All as described. The OULEME Anchor Kit will be used with one of our two kayaks. We have a 3lb anchor for one kayak and were in need of a second one. The OULEME kit is much nicer than the first, with its bright orange color, 40ft length, locking carabiner, buoy and carry bag. I think we may have to get a buoy for the first anchor as this is really a good idea. I was not familiar with the way the rope is attached, so I'll take a moment to mention that it's done this way on purpose (knot at bottom, zip tie at top). The zip tie stays in place for normal use. But if the anchor gets snagged on the bottom, one can pull from the opposite direction to break the zip tie and then the anchor will collapse and should pull free from the snag. Three and a half pounds is a good size to keep a kayak in place against the wind in any lake or even in a moderate river current. It's also not too heavy to feel like you're wasting energy lugging extra dead weight. The OULEME is a great anchor kit! ... show more
