Heavy duty design. Special quenching treated key parts increases durability. Suitable for drill presses or lathes spindle accepts R8 shank Jaws are specially engineered to achieve balance. JT33 mounted. Chuck key and R8-JT33 arbor are also included in the package. Please note, we have pre-installed the arbor to the drill chuck and lubricated together againsting rusty. For first time use, please uninstall the arbor and drill chuck and clean the lubricate to prevent the possible slippery.

    • Poor Quality
The drill chuck assembly looked really nice. But the tapper on the arbor shaft did not fit the bore on the chuck correctly and the chuck would not stay on the arbor shaft when in use. So, I cleaned everything good and blued the tapered part of the arbor shaft and then put it into the bore of the chuck. Pushed it in tight and rotated it in the bore and then pulled it out. What I found by doing this is the chuck bore did not match the taper on the arbor shaft. So, I put it in a lathe and lightly filed and sanded the tapered part of the arbor shaft where the bluing got rubbed off. After doing this I checked the fit again using the steps above. It took me four times doing the above and 45 minutes to match the chuck bore to the arbor shaft. For me the quality of the chuck assembly I purchased was very poor and if this company is going to continue selling this item they should do a better job in their Quality Control Department.     • Good buy
The R8 taper holds tight as soon as I slide it in place. Other "R8" tooling I've gotten lately hasn't actually fit well, this one stayed in place even without the draw bar in place. Very satisfied. Seems to run true, but I haven't checked the runout with a dial indicator yet.

This was exactly what I needed when I bent the drill chuck shaft on my milling machine. A perfect fit and now I can chuck up to 5/8" bits, up from 1/2".

    • Good chuck for the money
Works great. Heavy duty. A bit more run out on the outside of the jaw as I would like but overall run out was fine for my needs and a lot better then the chucks provided at school. Note this tool needs to be set on the mandrel it’s not one piece.

    • It’s cheap and works good enough.
I had to chase the threads to get them started on the draw bar before their first use, which was a little frustrating. Also, this thing is not balanced and seems to have a noticeable amount of vibration at higher speeds, but it was cheap so I guess it will work.
