I had about 3 or 4 of them to break, and I bought another one each time. Get the protection plan. I buy this for my son, and he plays with it every day. It's a solid truck, but the battery compartment doesn't allow enough room for the wire coming from the battery. It fits so snugly that it can cause premature wear or a short to the wire connecting to the battery. You also have to perform a little maintenance here and there by tightening the screws. It comes with tools and spare parts though. So that's a plus. You can turn the speed down on the remote for playing in the house. When you turn the speed up, it really moves. Even though I've purchased it over and over, I can't complain because my son really gets my money's worth out of it. And he's no easy on it, and he pushes it to the limits. The suspension and drive train is tight. It doesn't feel cheaply made. Great quality for the size.

I’m not an RC enthusiast by any means. My kids love chasing after a $20 RC car I purchased at Target but I was tired of going through AA batteries after 30 minutes of play. After doing a quick Amazon search and extensive research (speed, 4x4, price) I made this purchase. It comes with two rechargeable batteries, and this thing whips!!! (Note: It might be a little too fast for kids to chase) Although I intended this purchase to be an indoor toy we’ve had tons of fun racing around our cul-de-sac. It will go up and down the street and has no problem maintaining speed in thick grass and rocks. Great quality and I highly recommend it to all dads out there that want to “share” a toy with their kid!

Took this thing off roadin’ and got lil too far with it 🙈 I tried the muddy puddle for the first time. Had it submerged (entirely) for few seconds in a five by five size puddle, while going through it. After it got out, it flickered the lights for about 5 seconds, then went back to driving without any issues. I then went through another deep puddle nearly submerging it again, and drove it till the batt died. This lil truck is a champ! Love it. The speed is good enough to have some fun. Especially on a gravel road, sand, leafy or mulchy surfaces. Battery life isn’t so bad, besides, you can have an extra one or two 😁 I wouldn’t recommend getting in the water much though. Cleaning it is a mission 🙈 🙃 Hope it powers ON tomorrow 🤞🏼 😂 *Update; it’s still running like new! (Stay out of DEEP puddles.)

After reading a ton of reviews on this and other cars -got this for our 11 and 8 yr old sons for Christmas. They both really like it. Its got good speed and good both inside and outside. It does flip a bit easy -but doesn't affect the fun the boys are having. One of the boys had one where the light on top of the car has never come on since we got it compared to the other one -so not sure the reason for this (and they noted it) but doesn't impact the fun of the car. Hoping this is going to show good durability come the summer and more outside fun!

The car I had initially purchased for my son didn’t last the first week. since the return period had already passed, instead of contacting the seller, I threw it in the garbage and figured that was the end of it. The car had been delivered three weeks before first use because I am divorced and my kids were on a vacation with their mother. A couple days later, Amazon prompted me to review it, so I did. I briefly detailed the issues which were that it would no longer steer left or right and would only reverse and that I didn’t think it was worth the money. Shortly after my initial review, the seller contacted me asking more information and even though I was outside of the return period, they offered to send a replacement. Well I received the replacement a couple of days ago and so far the car has been working well and my son is very happy with it, which is what’s most important to me. I was genuinely surprised to even be contacted let alone have a replacement sent. It actually left a smile on my face that a company is willing to go through such great lengths to ensure customer satisfaction. That’s not something you see very often anymore. I would consider purchasing from them again, because of their customer service.

We use the car for about 20 minutes. Performed really well. We removed the battery and replaced it with the other battery pack and it immediately started smoking. Within seconds the battery pack literally blew apart exploded. We are extremely grateful that no one was hurt.

I bought this along with another car. The other car has a brushless motor and was about twice as much money. This car's battery outlasts the more expensive one. Not by much, but for half the price this car is just as good as a car with a brushless motor. The speed is great. The car is very durable. I really don't have anything bad to say about this car. It is a lot of fun.
