The 1/14 scale RLAARLO ROG1 arrived quickly well packaged and ready to run out of the box . Included is a 2200 mah 3 cell battery and usb charger . The truck packs a punch with a 3600kv brushless motor and 45A ESC. The truck body shell is probably closer to 1/24 scale but the actual truck overall size including chassis and oversized wheels meets the 1/14 scale box description . The Rc is very well put together and feels a quality product worthy of hobby grade not cheap toy grade . The controller takes 4 AA batteries not included and fit easily in the handle of the controller . Nice controller with 4 channels with basic trim control for steering and throttle . Steering can be one handed with easy throttle trigger and steering wheel. Attaching body shell made easy with body pins that are nicely attached to body so they are not easily lost. Included is lots of decals to personalise your truck a wheelie bar and an alternative pinion gear to get the truck nearer that 100kph claim on the box. This thing is rapid and tackles uneven ground with ease .Nice LED light bar adds to the look plus scale details in the flat bed , fuel cans, fire extinguisher and boxes Alloy oil shocks all round means jumping is a must and this thing will guarantee a big smile . Instruction booklet with full parts breakdown . Rlaarlo Customer support and readily available parts will guarantee to keep the ROG1 going should you need that replacement part. The media could not be loaded. this is top tier hobby grade, for $150 this is insane, if traxxas or arrma made this it would be $320 easy. Lots of high quality metal parts, i did end up shredding a pinion gear which you can hear it starting to go in the video. (somehow lol, the pinion and spur are both metal) but it came with an extra. I was trying to do back flips lol and landed on the wing from about a 20foot drop which broke the rear diff cover and everything mounts to that so i had to get a new one. i wish they were metal or at least a stronger plastic but that is my only complaint. the motor is strong and fast, it handles great with the awd and its very well balanced with the center diff. This thing is a blast in the dirt or on asphalt and its a steal for the price👍

The media could not be loaded. The ROG1 is the best 1/14th scale truck on the market. Not only does it look REALLY good, it also performs really good. It has many strengths and few weaknesses. The strengths include great top speed right out of the box. Mine hit 48 mph on the stock gearing and will likely hit 60 mph on the included speedrun pinion (I will update this review once I run it). Few budget RC trucks have adjustable motor mounts which is a great feature to have for speedruns – where this truck really shines! The truck also had droop screws which allows you to lower the ride height for improved on road handling. The adjustable tie rods let you dial in the alignment after lowering the truck and you have the perfect setup for not only good handling off road but also on road! It also has front and rear sway bars – a very nice touch The range for the transmitter is very good. It can easily go 700 feet (as far as I have tried to run it) and likely even further. The transmitter also has dual rate which is a must for speedrunning. Rlaarlo really thought of all of the most important features in this truck and somehow managed to put them in it even at its relatively low price! The body not only looks stunning but is also is fairly thick at this price point and has roof rails to protect it in case you flip it. Under the body, the good looks continue with a very intricate design with so many thoughtful features. It is easy to work on, includes hex hardware, and event he bottom of the chassis looks great with a cool design. The 45A ESC performed flawlessly and unlike many other budget RC’s, the brake modulation is very good. The oil filled shocks not only provide excellent dampening but also have adjustable spring rates. The drivetrain is all metal and very durable yet also includes a slipper clutch to help safeguard shock to the drivetrain. The included LIPO is VERY powerful and comparable to the performance of high end LIPOs from the best brands on the market. The small size lets you take it just about anywhere and makes its fast top speed seem even faster. The weakness of this truck? As it is only 1/14th scale, despite the very good suspension system and meaty off road tires, its off road capability is limited due to its small size. A truck like this is best suited for groomed off road use like on a baseball field. Running it on rough terrain isn’t ideal, especially with how fast this truck is. Other than that, it is hard to find complaints. If you are looking for a budget friendly RTR truck, you are not going to find a better all around option at this price point, especially if you enjoy speedrunning! Rlaarlo nailed it out of the park with this design.
