The media could not be loaded. If you are following along in my reviews, you've seen I have done a couple of lower priced RC Car reviews recently. I can say this version is the best of the batch, but at a cost of about 2x's. Bang for buck: This truck has a of good for the price range. I'll list those details below for those interested. But let's hit Bang for buck, this truck is good! It comes with traditional Lipo batteries, soft cells very common in more hobby grade vehicles. Please keep in mind while this model is very good for the price, it's an upper-level entry level vehicle. It has all of the nice parts you would expect in a mid-level RC car but where it falls a little short is parts accessibility. But keep in mind the price tag difference is more than suitable to make this a reasonable option. Performance: This RC car is very fast for it's size. I own more upper-level Hobby grade cars and sure they are faster, but these would be in appropriate vehicles for the level this one is aimed at. This vehicle strikes a very reasonable mix of handling, performance and forgiveness. It's hard lose control of this vehicle, and if control is lost, I would say it's easily recovered. The acceleration is very good, the truck even pulls the wheels up as you can see in the video. This is a very exciting thing for new Rc drives and is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face. Durability: While driving the truck through a few batteries we did manage to run into a few things, jump it off some ramps, flipped it a few times, even accidentally hit a metal pole at high speed. the truck shrugged it all off. This is due to the softer plastics used in this vehicle for suspension parts. these will tend to give as opposed to breaking, like you will find in higher level models. This is not a negative for this level and the age it's meant for. Suspension: The suspension does very well and strikes a reasonable balance between the tire grip, soaking up bumps as well as keeping the truck shiny side up. One item i did notice is the truck listing seems to indicate oil filled shocks, but i did not find oil in these shocks. If you have the same thing i would recommend some 10-15 wt at most, this is a small light vehicle so too much oil weight will make it handle poorly when hitting a bump. the main goal is to control rebound more then compression. Over all though i think the suspension as delivered does very well and make the vehicle easy to drive which will make it fun for a new driver. Electronics: I have to admit this is the one area i would have liked to see an improvement. The included Servo is more than adequate as is the batteries, and motor. But the 2 in 1 ESC leave some area for improvement. The vehicle did seem to overheat often and have random shutdowns requiring some time for the temps to come down. I think this could be easily solved with a small fan or even a Aluminum heat sync. I do have to admit i loved the ability to turn the headlight on and off from the controller. The charger that came with the vehicle is adequate, it safely charges the batteries. I would recommend at least a 2.1 amp hour charger for this task. Driveline: The driveline in this vehicle is mostly metal down to the metal dog bones that drive the wheels. The metal diffs do well of putting the power down and the seem to be very robust, although in case you find a manner of breaking one you do get a spare, i do not think you will be needing it. Overall: Keeping in mind the price level of this vehicles it is still a good deal. Keeping in mind this is still in the level of a toy grade RC car from any of the local big box stores. I think when this is compared with the vehicle you will find as I did, that this is a great vehicle.

Astonishingly fun, this little truggy is fast and strong, just on 70% speed it's quite fast, then 100% heck you better be in a big parking lot because it's fast! I will say tho I wish the shell was a tiny bit less flimsy but it still holds up well, 10/10 do recommend! And it's easy to set up via the remote control. It turns and reacts to the controller right as i command it to with the controller. It's not too loud and definitely worth the money headlights are not bright but it's an rc car so I'm not worried about it.

This is my first experience with a 'grown up' RC car and HOLY MOLEY this thing freakin' MOVES! Reading the speed on the website, versus experiencing it in real life. It took some getting used to, the reaction times are way different than a off the shelf RC you would get from say Walmart or Target. But once you DO get used to it...there is no going back. I really appreciate all the spare parts included. Nothing has broken yet, the car is very sturdy. No issues with frequency on the transmitter/receiver either. Love this thing!

The media could not be loaded. The box advertising is very exciting and makes you feel like you are going to be getting a great RC car. It has the standard warnings, etc and tells you it is made in China, but when you look at the pictures and the details of what is inside the box it looks really cool! I was very excited about there being a light on the RC Car so that you can drive it any time of day and loved that it is 4WD so it should be capable of any type of terrain. The controller in the picture also showed that it had adjustable steering trim and that you could change from 70% power to 100% power, allowing for novice drivers to set it to what feels comfortable for them. I also liked that it looked like there were two styles of the RC Car body so that you can change them if you want to. After opening the box, I confirmed that, yes there were indeed two bodies for the car. This makes it very nice for families who would want to have more than one of these RC cars for multiple users so they could easily detect which vehicle is whose. I also liked that there was a wheelie bar to help with stability, but also because that means that it has enough power to get the front wheels off of the ground. I also like that it comes with 2 LiPo batteries, a USB charger, a velcro strap to hold the batteries in, an extra shock, extra gears and bearings, a screwdriver, 2 extra metal axles, and a wrench. After further examination of the shock, however, it doesn’t look like it uses oil as mentioned in the description. They do look like they are pretty good though. Using the RC was fun. Although it is a smaller RC car, it is really fast! I would suggest using it at 70% power until you get used to it so that you can get a handle on how it works and functions, then putting it at 100% power. It accelerates very well and does, in fact, pick the front wheels off of the ground to do wheelies. That wheelie bar definitely comes in handy! The suspension works well and allows you to go over obstacles. It is definitely durable as I ran into a few things while driving it and it took it all in stride. I also really liked being able to turn the headlight on from the controller and using it in dimly lit areas. It is a great feature! One draw back is that after driving it for a while, I did notice that it got hot and would shut down. It needed time to cool off for a bit. A large heat sync would probably help it cool down faster allowing for more time playing and less time waiting to play. That being said, I truly think this spunky little RC Car is great, especially for those who want to get closer to a true hobby style RC Car, but keep some money in their pockets. It is definitely worth the money.
