My boyfriend gave me an old pair of rental skates a few years ago. I never really used them much, but a new rink has opened and it gave new life to my skates. I knew I wanted to decorate my skates for a birthday party and they turned out amazing! Everyone that has seen them has great things to say about the skates. I was v excited to see that I could order brown rhinestones (they are practically impossible to find in a craft store) from Amazon. I wanted to stay true to the colors of my skates and I chose the 5mm because they are small enough to curve easily, but not so small that i would lose them if they fell on the carpet. Of course there are a few unusable rhinestones in every bag, but over all I am super happy with the quality of the rhinestones. They even showed up before the estimated delivery date. I rhinestone dance costumes and I exclusively use Swarovski stones, but my daughter wanted me to do her graduation cap so I ordered these. I was surprised by the nice quality and they worked well with the glue and looked fantastic on the finished project. There also the exact color I needed. I bought these during a last minute panic to complete my graduation cap. However, I was quite disappointed when I got them to find that they weren't 5mm in diameter. I measured them to be closer to 3mm in diameter, but it ended up being quite useful for my project. I don't know if it was a mislabeled item, but these are way smaller than described. I'm giving it a four star rating because they actually were much needed in my craft project and they were a higher quality rhinestone that I've used. ... show more

When this first arrived I thought "Oh no, I need 1000 and this is NOT 1000." But I was wrong and there are 1000 of these cute, small rhinestones in the package. I was excited to see such cheap rhinestones, especially since local craft stores want like, $6.99 for 144 pieces! But only 3 out of every 5 rhinestones are really good. Others are chipped or missing their silver backing and look clear with glue as opposed to the shiny silver I was hoping for. Also, I don't have the time to count how many were in the packaging, but it definitely didn't look like 1000 rhinestones, maybe 500 at least. But even with s&h, it's no more expensive than purchasing a 100 at Michaels. ... show more

I was sold when one reviewer said she couldn't tell the difference between her swarovski stones and these rhinestones. However, she is horribly wrong. I purchased the 5mm and 3mm from the same seller. I used these stones to strass the heel of my favorite pair of shoes. After applying glue on the rhinestone (I use E6000) the foil backing would turn murky and cloudy. I thought it was the glue so I tried superglue, gemtac, and even clear nail polish. The foil backing turns cloudy after any type of adhesive is applied. These cheap rhinestone wasted my money, time, and my favorite pair of shoe. I went on and purchased rhinestones from ebay and not only were they cheaper, the stones were super shiny and reflective. Stay away from these cheaply made rhinestones. ... show more

I needed a good variety of colors of 5mm rhinestones. This price was the best I found that had the varied colors. I wasn't sure what to expect quality wise due to the differing reviews here. When they came in, exactly on time, I was happy with the quality, size, and color variety!
