First, I want to say that I purchased this for occasional use in my home. Not an office setting. So I can't attest for longevity. I tested by stapling 5 sheets of paper together. Second, I have never seen this kind of staple remover. I lost my traditional alligator one and came to amazon for a replacement. I am so glad I found this. It is so easy to use. You gently rock it side to side. It DOES have a magnet on the opposite end you pull staples with. I don't know how many it would hold, but here's a picture holding two staples. ... show more

Ive always used this type of staple remover. Removes staples neatly so no worry about about having to restaple over torn areas. I would recommend these to anyone working in an office, especially if you need to swap pages in your documents! Magnet grasps the used staples so no worry about stepping on them. These are great! I can not believe that I had never heard of this style of staple remover before now. I love that there is enough magnetism to snag the removed staples and keep hold of them until I am ready to toss them. And I think the variety of colors is a plus, b/c everyone can see them!
